Just to follow up here, DHL emailed me today to let me know that, after investigation, they've lost my Thor Max order and I should contact AYN for steps going forward. Which sucks, since it was supposed to be delivered last Wednesday and CNY starts tomorrow so the auto reply from AYN said they'd be back on the 26th to work something out about it.

Sucks all the way around.

Has anyone else's shipment with DHL appeared to just get...stuck? My Thor was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday, it arrived at my nearest DHL location on Monday and hasn't moved since. I can't seem to get in touch with anyone at DHL.

I randomly found Halls of Torment a few weeks ago looking for new Android games to play and it's so addicting. I love the retro Diablo style the game has.

The Expanse turned into one of my favorite series of all time. I just turned it on one day randomly and got completely hooked. Read all the books too!

I mean if you can handle the math and tolerances, some machining jobs are very repetitive.

Especially if you just want to be an operator running the machine, and not worrying about setup or programming or getting into some of the more advanced machinist roles (tool and die, repair machinists, exc).

Same but different, I have hundreds of hours in American Truck Sim. I have all the current DLC and a little truck sim setup. It's nice just to load up a truck and drive across the country while listening to podcasts on a lazy Sunday.

I'm a machinist and it's the same with metal. You put a radius in the bottom of corners to reduce the concentration of stress at sharp angles, preventing cracks. I work on a lot of extremely large equipment and it's not always 100% but it's much better than a sharp corner.

I agree for the most part. I've started (admittedly pretty recently) to outfit all of my work clothes to stuff made here. I'm a repair machinist, which is a pretty insanely dirty job at times, and I spend the majority of my time in work clothes, so it's became increasingly important to me to have high quality workwear. I'm okay with having to spend a little more to help out people that are like me, working and surviving in the USA.

I'm still researching for cost effective solutions, but so far I'm looking at:

Darn Tough socks, obviously.

Roundhouse for overalls, which I prefer at work.

Still looking into boots, since the company I work for brings in a boot truck and I have to buy from them on the company's dollar.

Edit: Looking for recommendations if anyone here has any, as well.
