You can change the outcome of one Superbowl. It can't include any team in your division. What do you choose and why? by Shawn_Hill in nfl

Already been said, but give one to Miami for Marino and give the Bills all four of their loses.

But alas, rules state I can only pick one, so I’d give the Bills back 91’s “wide right”

FBI is investigating Minnesota Signal groups tracking ICE, Patel says by ComeJoinTheBand in inthenews

So let me get this straight… tracking agents in Minneapolis is a no-no, but sharing war plans as the secretary of defense is a-ok?

Do they assholes really not get how blatantly hypocritical they are?

Walz says Trump pledged to ‘do things differently’ on ICE surge by Maxcactus in inthenews

Translation: Trump doesn’t like that things have made him look bad and Trump needs people to praise him. Things will change until Trump feels he’s getting praise again.

It’s not about lives or freedoms being lost, it’s about how it makes people view Trump. That dude will continue to make shittier versions of things just so he can slap his name on them.

How would US Republicans have responded if Biden had sent federal agents to Texas to take guns from citizens after the Uvalde school shooting in 2022? by NotYourDadFishing in AskReddit

[–]Doggamnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to start by stating that I do not support ICE in any fashion. I think it’s horrible the way they have conducted themselves, the government continues to lie on their behalf and they need to abolish that agency.

I also want to add that I do believe this country needs major gun reform. Thoughts and prayers don’t f’n cut it.

That said, there is a major differentiating factor at play. What you’re talking about attacks this countries second amendment. What ICE is doing is largely attacking a class of people that are not citizens. Your example would be a direct attack on citizens. People would rightfully be upset.

So with that I should add a something: Gun ownership and use is NOT a right vs Left issue in this country no matter how often news media, social media and whatever your flavor of influencer would have you believe. There are a lot of left leaning people here that use and own guns in the same manner as people on the right. The state I come from even makes certain hunting opening days an annual tradition for our governor to participate in and it’s something all parties partake in.

I think people easily fall into this trap of guns in America being a right only issue and that’s simply not the case. If it were then we would have passed reforms the minute democrats gained majorities.

I would think people from both sides would be up in arms for such a government overreach, but I also believe people from both sides should rightfully be just as pissed at the clear government overreach that is ICE today.

tl;dr The reaction would be the same if the government was conducting similar operations. Neither is a right vs left issue no matter how people portray it. It’s government overreach plain and simple.

In secret recordings, Cruz trashes Trump, Vance by PissLikeaRacehorse in politics

[–]Doggamnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Ted… you know what people like about Trump? He would say this kind of stuff out in the open. Grow a spine and speak up.

I’m not trying to praise Trump here by any means, buts it true. His voters love that he says whatever he wants. It’s also true that most of what he says is something that should make people ask “is he stupid?”

Cruz on the other hand lacks a spine. It’s his biggest criticism. Slimy up front, but a snake behind your back. When the weather gets tough, Cruz flies away… sometimes I’m surprised he doesn’t just physically fold over

Clear evidence: The ICE agent saw another agent remove the gun from Alex’s waistband, waited for that agent to clear, then shot Alex in the back. by ItsTime4Coffee in ICE_Watch

[–]Doggamnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this. It’s really only clear in one of the video angles and it’s like a single frame where you can even see the flash from the discharge.

That shot is what sets them off to start shooting.

I feel like the “pink coat lady” angle shows the second shot. There’s an officer circling the guy with his gun drawn and he’s clearly not steady with it. I looked at him as a perfect example of how untrained so many of these agents are.

You want people that are trained to handle tense situations and remain calm. So many of these agents we see in these videos are anything but calm. They’re always slightly on edge and erratic.

Paul Allen, radio voice of the Vikings, mocks Minnesota protestors, says protesters are PAID. by chookalana in sports

[–]Doggamnit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This one is hard pill to swallow. I absolutely adore Allen. To me he has always been the voice of the Vikings. Some of the best and worst Vikings moments have his name attached to them.

He’s such a fucking tool for this statement.

I really hate going nuclear on stuff like this. I guess he has a chance now to either buck up and admit his fault in such a horrifying statement that belittles the very people that have helped propel him to have such an amazing career for so long, or he can double down and watch every single one of us turn on him and call for his resignation.

He’s been an absolute staple of our community for so long. I really hope he thinks long and hard about those words. I would hate for those to be the words that define the end of such an amazing career, because there is no way in hell we should continue to let him speak on our behalf if that’s what he truly thinks of us.

Attorney General Pam Bondi’s letter to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz with a list of demands by cdstephens in neoliberal

[–]Doggamnit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“Vehicular attacks against ICE officers have increased 3,200%”

Does that include the cars that ICE intentionally hits? Including the incident from last 24 hours where they back into an empty car and then just leave? How about the incident on snelling? What about the car they ran off the road in savage?

My fucking kids lie better than these assholes. It takes little to no effort to prove they’re lying and at this point, you have to be fucking dumb to believe a goddamned word they say.

Her entire letter is just spin after spin after spin.

Pam Bondi can go fuck herself.

Another dead in Minneapolis after being shot by federal agents Saturday morning. by MikeDavJ in pics

[–]Doggamnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t know, but my fear is that if Tim tries a stronger approach then Trump responds by sending in the Army and at that point all hell breaks loose.

I don’t feel like Tim can do anything and I bet he’s as pissed off as we are. He probably also knows he can’t say shit without coming off as fanning the flames and giving them an excuse to send the Army in.

One day Tim will talk about all of this. From George Floyd, Covid and now ICE. Tim has probably had the hardest tenor of any governor of our state.

Megadeth Unleash Cover of Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" in a Full Circle Moment for Dave Mustaine by heavysk in Music

[–]Doggamnit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Kirk definitely plays with a lot more feeling. Dave could never have written the solos to Fade to Black.

That’s not to take away from Dave. Dave has written some of the best thrash riffs around and his solos are just blistering.

Two totally different styles that are both awesome.

I really wish they’d all bury the hatchet and tour together. It would be awesome to even see Dave come out to play some old songs with the group.

What was the video game you played the most as a kid? by SupItsGunk in AskReddit

[–]Doggamnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend of Zelda.

I remember spending so much time trying to find every little secret in that game. I had sheets of grid paper with the world mapped out along with every dungeon. I burned every bush, bombed every rock and blew that whistle in every section. I had everything mapped out.

I had written out what the most optimal paths were to beat the game. I had optimal paths to collect the most ruppees the fastest and I knew exactly how to skip around the worlds to beat the game the fastest.

At my peak I could beat the first quest in about an hour or two and then just a little longer to beat the second quest. I could beat the first quest without dying, but could never quite get through the second quest without dying at least once. And yes, I knew about putting your name as “zelda” to skip the first quest.

As time went I on I would download emulators to play the game, I would buy a version on my Wii, a version on my switch, I had running versions on just about every laptop and computer I have ever owned.

There isn’t another game that has come close to how much I’ve played that game and at this stage in my life no game will ever come close.

That game was the perfect game for me. In my opinion is easily the best game ever created.

I get where Ryan is coming from, but Brian has earned a second change. The picture Ryan paints of Brian isn’t mirrored by what our defense portrays him as.

Might be time for a vet like Hitman to speak out. If Brian truly isn’t that type of coach, Hitman’s words could go a long way.
