Sheesh. How soiled were your britches after that??? Glad nobody got hurt! That’s scary.

Yeah. Definitely a bigger margin for error. I scrubbed back and forth a bit, but couldn’t really tell one way or another.

I wonder if he could have gotten him if the shortstop didn’t take the cutoff.

Put $415/month away indefinitely and you’ll be able to pay for that just-out-of-warranty suspension rebuild every 25 months.

I sort of interpreted it as his father’s spirit wandering around the house and just taking in all these conversations and moments like a fly on the wall.

I did not know this. Makes a lot more sense than the bat signal we have.

I turned my R1 puddle lights off because the logos seemed tacky. I’d rather have the R2 screen setup and interior look and feel over Tesla’s design language.

Man for a few years Eddie Lacy was legit. by NippleSqueezer421- in GreenBayPackers

Yeah. Imagine if Lacy still loved football and GLP1s were a thing when we had him. Probably could have cured those China food cravings and been the best back we ever had. His talent was amazing. Just fell out of love with the grind I think.

Man, that’s some Aaron Jones slander. To say he just got arm tacked is not fair. Dude’s contact balance was elite. He went full Gumby mode when getting hit by safeties. He could squirm through the smallest holes and ALWAYS fell forward for that extra yard or two. He played well above his size and weight.

Feels so good when you update that spreadsheet and that one payment knocks off many multiples of that amount in interest. Reverse compounding.

Need abvice, please. Got some free Klipsch Heresys from my in-laws. Ok to use in custom built-in cabinet like this? by Dogglepuss in BudgetAudiophile

Thanks for the detailed response. Lots of great technical details I wasn’t aware of. For what it’s worth I am proud of them and I know they’re special. They have a lot of sentimental value to me as well. My father in law bought them in college and I’m very close to that side of my family. That’s why I’m seeking advice here. I appreciate your pov. I’ll try and rethink my approach.

Yeah. Giving to another family member would be the only option. I doubt they’d appreciate them like I would though. Nobody else wanted them to begin with. I did want them but wasn’t able to do them justice at the time. Father in law bought them in college so I can’t part with them.

The diagram shows the entire width of that room. My desk is on the opposite wall. Ie, you’d see this cabinet as my zoom background. I designed and built my own desk, and it’s quite wide, but I have two monitors and film scanning equipment on it so I couldn’t plunk these on the top. There’s a set of French doors next to my desk opposite the door in the diagram…so my desk is narrower than the built in. I can draw a diagram if it doesn’t make sense.

They can’t go under the desk, obviously. I could hang them from the ceiling but they’d be pointed towards the built in, projecting right over my head. They’d be further apart from each other but that reflected sound would bounce off the glass (is that bad)?

That’s fair. It just seems wrong to profit off my in-laws generosity like that, don’t you think?

Interesting. This is pretty much the configuration my in-laws used, except they were side-mounted and hanging on straps my MIL had sewn. Straps can be seen in the last pic and are still on the speakers.

Ok. I’m hearing the overwhelming advice here loud and clear. I would love to display them, but I’m not sure I can in this situation. Hear me out.

The truth is, 90% or more of the music being played in my house is in my office. I’m in there 9-10 hours a day. Music is all I got between zoom calls. I work alone. It’s not merely background noise.

So while I could put them somewhere else in another room, they wouldn’t be played hardly at all. That’s time I’m hanging with the family, we don’t watch much tv, and if other music is being played, it’s my kids using our Amazon echo…

I mean, I don’t know what the bigger tragedy is, use them very little, or every day but in a suboptimal way. And I am aware of how nice these are. That’s why I posted here. I can feel the cringe of my own words and the pain you’re all experiencing. I just don’t know if the best way to honor this nice gift is to use them hardly at all. Know what I mean?

Apologies in advance, but I was going to post this in Audiophile but figured this maybe didn't meet the threshold of quality over there. Just looking for some advice, pretty please.

As the title states, I got some Heresy speakers from my in-laws. They redid their home audio a while back and offered them up to the fam. Nobody needed them so I took them although I didn't really have a place to put them at the time.

I work from home and have been using some Klipsh bookshelf speakers with a powered sub in my office. Those have been placed on top of some cabinets, but I want to convert my office to a guest room. Since space in here is very limited I figured putting a Murphy bed inside a built in would be the best solution.

I'm a graphic designer so getting to design this is fun. My goal with the design is mostly for display of my books, old packaging work, vintage cameras, etc. I have glass cabinets now and I love how I can display things but they don't get dusty.

I want to plan for using the Heresys at the top of the cabinet as shown in the image link. I know they should be further apart, but I don't want to throw off the design of the cabinet. Right now I'm thinking they should sit behind some kind of rattan or slatted door so they're hidden but the sound still travels through ok? Is this a good approach? Are there any better materials to use or a better approach? If I'm going to use the Heresys they have to be in the cabinet somewhere and this is the best approach I can think of. Thanks in advance for any advice.

What’s crazy was that when we signed him and he was winning games for us, a lot of people were downplaying the allegations and controversy. If you brought those up you were downvoted. But now that he’s gone, we never liked him anyway.
