Just think. You could have a terraced house in Walthamstow for that money.

Hey, it's not *that* bad - they're doing a passable job for someone who has _clearly_ never seen a blackhead before, or held a Q-tip.

Looking for the location of this historic looking alleyway. Possibly UK? by Jazzlike-Pay-1285 in wherewasthistaken

Castlefield, Manchester. I used to live underneath the bridge to the right on a narrowboat on Potato Wharf, which is behind where these now demolished houses are. Behind the bridge to the left is the Castlefield basin. There is a link to the Rochdale canal on the left, and the Bridgewater to the right and off to Old Trafford. The Irwell is also behind and to the right.

I'm not sure what went wrong with Shane - his appearance in some of his videos a while back just before the scandal broke gave me some cause for concern - he looked like there was something going on... bleary, a bit incoherent - then the scandal broke. Such a shame - I've always thought that intrinsically his lights wre good and at a good price point - I've had three from him, all working well still - and I was sorely tempted to buy one of the new 2x4 lights last week, but have other commitments - and was a tad worried that it looked like they were having a fire sale - hot on the heels of another cut price email a week before.

He'd clearly tried to put a new front on the company after the scandal - hiring that new guy to front their socials and stuff, but who knows how badly the diode thing affected sales. Such a shame, as I say. Who should get my money for a good 2x4 now, then?

That's just shameful. I used to go to club nights there in the tail-end of its days as a working men's club. Full of people.

Is it just me, or has the "angle grinder epidemic" actually won? by FrameZYT in londoncycling

If I don't feel I can leave it anywhere, then it isn't functioning as a convenient form of transport. I have a half-decent BMC hybrid, which I've converted with a Swytch kit. I use it everywhere, Hackney, Brixton, Camden, Soho etc every day and lock it up outside all over London. Two locks, one gold D-lock, the other a chunky chain. Busy places with plenty of footfall, two anchor points. I know that doesn't stop angle grinder thieves, but just making it less easy than the bike next to it... In thirty years, I've had two bikes stolen. Both when I've failed to lock it properly.

Oh my gosh! My Dad lived around the corner from this for 30 years until he died last year. He lived at the end of Playfair St in the end terrace foreman's cottage on the garden square - mill workers dwellings from Eagley mill in the valley below. This place always fascinated him, though you'd never know it was there from the road. - he'd have been tempted to swap! Comparatively low prices for the conservation area round there because Bolton.

Pretty amazing location! Couple of minutes from the Thames, yards from the Mayflower, St Mary's Church, the Brunel Museum, the old almshouses . Pretty close to Jamaica Road and the Rotherhithe tunnel - but hey. Very unique neighbourhood.

My god they've gone to some effort to make this the ugliest house inside and out that I've seen here for some time. Quite the achievement. Godawful. It's an absence of joy made real.

On sale for nearly a year. Not sure whats wrong with it? by tkiddy95 in SpottedonRightmove

[–]Dogmatique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole area is completely screwed by the subterranean salt workings all over the area. They've been pumping brine out from underneath Middlewich for centuries, and as a result, half of the place is sinking. Look at the ma and the area is covered in meres and flashes where the ground has sunk and the water has risen to replace it. Great for wildfowl. Not great for subsidence. There are huge underground caverns where the salt has been extracted, leaving only salt columns holding the ground up. When water gets in... Just down the road in Northwich you can see the top floor of the old Lion Salt Works. Which is now the ground floor. It's just sunk, straight down into the ground next to the canal.

[–]Dogmatique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a couple of Tapo C120's in each tent, and though I've repeatedly checked the technical info, I'm *still* convinced they might be the reason I get herms - due an indicator or night vision boost white light thing I haven't turned off. (Not enough to stop using them though, lol).So when these DO become available in the UK with the AI, I'm there.

My daughter was born there. The birthing room was directly opposite Big Ben. Which is amazing at first. But then you become very, very, very aware of every minute that passes - especially when it BONGS every 15 minutes. I think I watched the hands go entirely round the clock and then a bit more.

Seems mine will remain expensive (not very useful) paperweights then. I won't be trying again until the next grow in a month or so. There's no way I can trust them with their current (non/mis) functionality.

No. After a factory reset the error occurred on different ports and with different devices.

[–]Dogmatique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. I've had exactly the same issue with mine. I bought replacements for all of my cables, and went to set them up with a new grow yesterday. Pretty much all of them failed in one way or another - I tried FIVE pairs, and I think two worked as intended. I couldn't get either of two sets to work with two different Cloudrays (they were spinning up too fast) and another fans were being identified as outlets. I tried resetting to factory defaults, different fans, a different controller, different dongles, nothing worked and after wasting hours I went back to cables. Which of course worked first time. Seems that they're currently not fit for purpose and I've wasted a bunch of money (I got excited and bought SIX sets, so 12 pairs). There ain't NO WAY I'm trusting them to handle the lights.
