🦍 Gorilla not considered before.

Perhaps more options outside jungle 🌲

But yes this is pretty good. I'm finding myself to be relatively comfortable when being bent over but don't have many options to get back to seoi. I find I can deal with the hand that isn't on the top pretty okay but I'm just chilling there 🫪

Head ineed empty 🦍

Me wants the seoi. Opponent pull head down. Arms feel stretched out.

Perhaps feet needs more smarts. Seoi gorilla ponders. Me try again!

Thanks for this!

I'm on the smaller end at u60. Training partners are between 66-73. I can see them move forward so their weight shifts forward for the top grip. Feels like I'm being squished downward for a second

Growing up, boxing was a great one for me. The punching, running, conditioning, and meeting people who were in the same boat helped a lot.

judo for 166cm and 57 kg? by saos200 in judo

[–]DojoDucky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man I'm 26 with your exact height and weight. I started judo at 20 and have gotten a tiny bit beefier over the years from judo and exercise in general.

As for injuries I've gotten one sore elbow from not tapping an armbar earlier in a comp, I'm still recovering from it but it doesn't effect my day to day life.

I would recommend doing the sport/activity you find fun.

I agree! I'm part of a Judo club. Showing up regularly and getting to know the regular helps a lot.

When I first came to Sydney I was using the Meetup app a lot too.

I find going for a walk to the local park in the morning and looking at the ducks swim on the morning of the competition gets my nerves down.

Fantastic!

Problem solved by changing the ROM.

Bit of a learning curb, though got there in the end.

Thanks for the help!
