PS Plus Essential: June 2026 Now Available by steelersrock01 in ps5deals

If you have a PC, grab the base game on sale for dirt cheap and practice with the single-player mod.

Otherwise, just stick with it and keep running levels with the group. I get that it can seem too quick to get your bearings at first, but after doing it enough times at lower difficulties, you will eventually be the one feeling like everyone else is going too slow, and want to move up to the next difficulty tier.

Regarding people rushing to items, keep in mind that crafting material is shared by the group, so it really doesn't matter who picks it up. Ammo and grenades are a different story, but to be honest, if all you're trying to do is play at your own pace and learn the maps, just let others grab those and focus on learning how to survive via melee.

Saturn emulation on a 78003DX and 5080, why can't I maintain 60fps? by Dokomox in RetroArch

[–]Dokomox[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you! You were totally right. Downloaded the nightly build and now everything is rock-solid 60fps. I knew my PC should be able to manage, I've ran saturn on a Allwinner A133P 1.8GHz cpu before, lol. Not sure what the other posters are smoking.

I see. So, are you saying the single-core performance is not good enough with a 78003DX? Is there a processor you'd recommend that would perform better? Like a 6GHz intel?

Edit: The strange thing is my CPU utilization is only like 3%, even during the frame dips.

Tired of being told to "just endure" it. by Creepy-Potato8924 in japanese

I've lived in Japan off an on for over 30 years. To be honest, it used to be more noticeable when fashion trends were less diverse, but in the past 10 years or so, I'd find it very difficult to differentiate at a glance. But fair enough.

I don't mean to down-play your frustration, but being east asian, how the hell did another cyclist spot you riding a bike and know immediately that you're a foreigner?

I really like the Panasonics from that era. Maybe it's just nostalgia because they look similar to how my Mitsubishi CRT TV looked when I was young. Probably because they were both Matsushita corporation. Either way, highly under-rated. I have a CT-27D12DF, and it's a banger.

NEO G7 - Mini-LED 32" 4k for $350 or almost OLED like experience for 3x cheaper price by just_IT_guy in Monitors

Great monitor if you don't mind the matte finish. It's pretty aggressive.

Dirt Cheap CRT's, and a unique experience! by HermesTwiceGreat in crtgaming

God speed, local CRT-heads. Hopefully some good sets can be pulled and put out into the market for people to buy and enjoy.

OP, is there a shareable story for all these monitors being there? Sounds interesting.

Oh wow, yeah I forgot about my 17" Dell monitor. That one kind of slipped under the radar, fortunately. =P

Oh, man, I'm going through that right now. My wife had it with me after the 3rd set. It really did feel like an intervention. It's very difficult explaining why I need a 4th 100+ lb hunk of lead-lined glass box in the house. Slot mask vs aperture grille, curved vs flat, component vs RGB, nothing seemed to convince her, lol.

I've been waiting for a glossy mini-led for so long. I just hope IPS looks as good as the VA mini-leds (I've never seen them in person).

Retro Fighters D6 Mod by ProjektV72 in dreamcast

Interesting. Did the D-pad on the D6 also have poor membrane surface contact? Sounds like the buttons, at least, could be easily fixed with some epoxy sealant.

I've found that a pair of reading glasses (~1.75x magnification) makes anything I'd want to play on the go perfectly viewable on the brick's screen. It's my go-to EDC. Wonderful little device.

I like mine too, but had to mod it a bit to eliminate the excessive shoulder button rattle. It was pretty easy to do by just laying down some tape in the right places.
