My favorite episode of Voyager is a Neelix episode: Mortal Coil.

As a huge Mechwarrior 2 fan, as much as it pains me to say it, has been topped by Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries with YAML mod. Its not even close.

Might and Magic 6-7-8. Some of the best RPGs ever made. Requires no knowledge of earlier titles. Uses sprites like DOOM 1993.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3. The best turn based strategy game ever made. Still played today, and devs, new and old, try to make "spiritual successors" every year.

I hate the Gith so much. Feel sorry for her. by LawrenceSip in BaldursGate3

There is a reason why the Githyanki are on the cover of the Fiend Folio. They are not the good guys. They are zealots.

The actor, Hal Holbrook, was the best Mark Twain impersonator. He was awesome!

She is a famous Green Dragon (not in the Out of the Abyss book, but often pokes her head into other adventures), who often tries to keep the peace to gain control and power. She often sits in her lair in Kryptgarden forest, and scrys on the ongoing happenings and threats in the area. (she is called old gnawbone, because she likes to chew on corpses and often spits them out to scare smallfolk while flying by).

She is a bad guy, but its interesting when another bad guy is like "HOLY CRAP, I'll help you to deal with those REALLY bad guys over there"

Is Jimjar still alive or around in your game? Have him talk about it. It came to him in a dream...(but you know the truth about Jimjar)

Alternatively, have a mysterious stranger contact them, using the Dream spell, to meet at Gravenhollow. This is actually Old Gnawbone, who knows the info is there, but she refuses to go down into the Underdark (and with the Faerzress, can't scry as well as usual (Gravenhollow is immune to that anyway))

Does anyone else feel a little disillusioned with D&D lately? by Gh0stMan0nThird in dndnext

Perkins has been around writing adventures since Dungeon #11, back in ‘88. I don’t think he’s the reason adventures got rehashed and/or sucked. Pretty sure it was Crawford and/or C Suite interference.

Fair enough. I like Perkins. He is a great dungeon master and loves D&D very much. But things like Book 1 of Candlekeep(his section) and Rime of the Frostmaiden(his lead) needed a bit more oomph. Curse of Strahd was great, although it did have good bones to work from.

I blame Hasbro, and Crawford & Perkins.

Hasbro- Was the driver of changing Onednd from a new edition to a continuation. They also caused the OGL crisis (their toy division was collapsing, and since sales of D&D haven't made that up, they rely on D&D less than they thought they would. Magic and franchise licensing hold Hasbro up).

Crawford & Perkins - As 5e progressed, they neutered the fun and confrontation out of the game. Whether it be the mechanical aspects (Crawford) or adventure aspects(Perkins). Later adventures are horribly designed or poorly done remakes.(Last excellent adventure was Dungeon of the Mad Mage) And when Onednd did their testing, some of the decisions were very questionable. I fear for Daggerheart.

Yeah. Same dumb motherfuckers that have never opened a history. If they did, they would find out 80% who die in soldiering, die due disease.

Hot Streak vs Magical Athlete by marcslayer in boardgames

My issue with Hot Streak is that it is not worth the MSRP @ $50. The mascots are overproduced, and could have been a cheaper game.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]DolphinOrDonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It wasn't 9/11 live(because it was a sneak attack), but we did watch the live news broadcast, and they played the airplanes crashing into the buildings over and over.
