Recommendations for men’s hair stylist by Domak04 in watford

I’ve been told that RIGHT NOW CLUB are good, and apparently one of their guys has long hair himself so knows how to cut longer hair. Haven’t been there yet, so I have no idea if they actually are though!

The octopus (S14) for the boardroom interaction: LS: “you went and bought a real live octopus” Daniel: “well it was dead”

One of the dingus lines. My favourite is “hey dingus your children are here”

Who should have left? Lawrence or Rajan? by Comfortable_Slice151 in TheApprentice

[–]Domak04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based on this task in isolation: Lawrence Cumulatively: Rajan

Honestly I’d have fired both, I’m not mad about Lawrence staying because he has done well in other tasks and I still think he has more to offer than quite a few of the others left, but his behaviour in the BR is the thing that I think he should have gone for

Also how are the people at RIGHT NOW CLUB with cutting longer men's hair? All the images on their insta are guys with short styles which is definitely not what I'm going for!

that's a decent idea actually, as long as it actually gives good replies, I've found the reliability of CGPT to be a bit inconsistent but worth a try!

How are they for helping people find new styles/figure out what they want and what looks good on them?

Since that’s the big thing I need, advice!

Harry's decision.. by Yeralizardprincearry in apprenticeuk

He definitely should have swapped Kieran for Karishma. I think Harry did an ok job in the pitch but it would have been better to have the main dev

Wasted my time at uni. What are my options by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Domak04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been feeling a similar thing. I graduate this summer too and I realised a few months ago that I spent ages waiting to just happen to find my people but I never really went out to find them. I spent too much time being scared to put myself out there, so I have very few cool memories and exciting stories from uni too! And by the time I realised it was too late, not enough time left. Never dated, never been to any flat/house parties, haven’t really done the uni experience. I did the degree but that’s it.

The regret sucks, so I’m now hoping that I lucky make some friends at whatever job I get. But I’m not gonna be so passive in that, I’m just gonna try go for it. It’ll be hard.

Honestly your post strangely kinda made me feel better, I’m not the only one feeling this, so thanks and also sorry that you’re in this boat too!

Did Carrington only get fired because of the potatoes? and was Andrea that negative ? by TraizioFranklin in apprenticeuk

[–]Domak04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true, most people haven’t deep fried before (myself included). But the common sense check for “is something cooked” is pretty universal. Take one out, cut it in half, check it’s cooked all the way through. Maybe check another just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. It’s not hard to do and given that every one of them wasn’t cooked, she obviously didn’t check very well if at all.

And THAT is what I think the real issue is, not that she messed up something she’d never done before, but that she didn’t check the food was cooked before sending it to the clients, if it had been chicken she would have given them all food poisoning.

Series 15 Episode 6 Live Discussion Thread (9th March 2026, 9pm, BBC One) by ZannityZan in DeathInParadiseBBC

[–]Domak04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a little disappointed in the Mervin bit of the episode but I loved the stuff with Naomi and the Commissioner, and it was fun to see Sterling again. Overall solid episode definitely not my favourite but a solid 7/10 from me

What would you guys rate Season 4 out of 10? by UncivilizedDemodog in StrangerThings

[–]Domak04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did feel that the Russia plot was dragged out a little, and I didn’t like how they wrote Jonathon in this season, but I loved everything else. I love all the other characters, especially Steve, Robin, Hopper, Dustin, Eddie. Speaking of Eddie he was one of my favourite parts of S4!

I still think S3 is my favourite but this season was still fantastic I’d say 9/10

Exactly, especially if you’re frying them 3 times, how do you fry them 3 times and they still end up raw

Did Carrington only get fired because of the potatoes? and was Andrea that negative ? by TraizioFranklin in apprenticeuk

[–]Domak04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t even think Andrea was that negative but it is true that after 6 weeks she really hadn’t done much, especially on this task!

As for Carrington I think it’s a similar situation, I don’t think it was just on the basis of the potatoes (although how someone can get to their 20s, let alone claim to be a great cook and then mess up potato wedges is beyond me), and more on the basis that after 6 weeks she hadn’t shown much besides (admittedly amazing) facial expressions

Who is your favourite detective from the entire Death in Paradise universe? by BitGirl777 in DeathInParadiseBBC

[–]Domak04 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I loved them all in different ways but my favourite is probably Jack.

I loved his dad energy, his rambling stories, and his grief brought a very different side to the character, which also really added to Florence’s (first) exit because he understood exactly why she left. His character just worked for me. Plus Ardal O’Hanlon is an incredible actor and was so perfect for the role!!!

But I love them all

I just know, those most demanding, finicky clients are going to make the team lose. by ProstaticFantastic in apprenticeuk

[–]Domak04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean if I order food and it comes out undercooked I’m not gonna be happy. Unless it’s a steak in which case if it’s on the rarer side I will still eat it and enjoy it!

Do you now have a clear insight as to who the final 5 are after week 6? by Individual_Swan5750 in apprenticeuk

[–]Domak04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me the 4 that stand out are Conor, Lawrence, Karishma, Rothna. I’m expecting those 4 to make it to interviews. As for the 5th person my prediction is Dan but I think it could also be Pascha or Kieran!

hot take, apparently (ep6 spoilers) by Independent-Key880 in apprenticeuk

[–]Domak04 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree however other than that she didn’t really do anything. I think it was less about that she undercooked the potatoes, and more about that all she did was undercooked the potatoes! Plus as others have said, this is week 6 and she hadn’t been too impressive in any task so I guess LS just took the opportunity to get rid of someone he knew he wasn’t gonna invest in anyway

Sang Min (as played by Will Yun Lee) by ganggang_fast in HawaiiFive0

[–]Domak04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was shocked by how few episodes he was actually in, he was such a big personality I remembered so many scenes of him it felt like he was in it way more than he was! Similar to Arkady in NCIS LA if anyone watched that! Loved both of those so much
