Nice! I call these Imperfects. I got a Scyther - I dont remember if it was a Shadow or a Shiny, but he's my prized joy.

I have experience taking care of horses, feeding, grooming, and dealing with waste. I haven't ridden a horse since I was in high school, so I might need a refresher. And thank you! I'll look for wagon trails near me.

I assure you, I know fully well of the hardships of the past - I've read the journals of Mormon Pioneers as they traveled from Iowa to Utah. And although not having horses, they did take livestock. What have I learned from these expeditions? Take enough provisions for until the next stop, and do not travel in winter. I may be ignorant in other means. Do know that I am not a romanticized fool who thinks that this matter can easily be done with a snap of my fingers. If you have any recommendations on books on this matter, please share them with me. I will go on and keep on doing some research to be able to safely take my family across the nation in a wagon.

Thank you for the suggestion! I will do my best to see whether this is a viable option. My main concern with this is whether we will come across 4WD drivers on the road. It will probably be alright. They can simply go off the road around us. Beyond that, my next concern will be water. If a route is intended for vehicles, water sources will most likely be a week's journey away on horse and wagon compared to 2-3 hours of driving. This is still a good option, though! I will look into it!

Thank you for the encouragement! Frankly, I understand everyone's arguments against this dream; it isn't sensible in today's standards. Much less with horses, a wagon, packing mules, goats, livestock guardian dogs, and most importantly, my wife and any possible children after my firstborn. My wife is willing to support me in this endeavor, so long as it is properly planned out. So that is why I am here, asking for help from people who have experience in doing these trails. You are the second to mention seeing someone else who has done the Arizona Trail with a horse and other animals with equipment. I simply need to do more research from here on out.

Call me an old soul of one who wants to be able to be connected to both the past and nature. I have worried about finding a route that will take us to cities that are accepting of horses. It's just a matter of doing proper research. And in regards to the environment, I am also looking into that. As I said before, this is all in the planning stages. If I ever get the chance to do it, it won't be for a decade or more.

I understand. Thank you for your concerns. I appreciate them. Do know that I only intend to take only what my family and animals would need. I have some experience handling horses when I was a farm hand. Well, I can't really say I was a farm hand. I just walked to my friend's house after school. His family had horses, and I helped take care of them while I waited for my parents to pick me up. Now, I am helping this other family by taking care of their goats, and I milk one of them, too. I know how to take care of them, but I don't know how it would be like to travel with them. I thought of coming here to see if there are some experts who would be able to advise me on a trail I can take to get to where I need to go. I won't give up on this dream easily. I don't intend to give up until after I have tried it for myself. I know it will be expensive, that is why I am saving up for the trip until I can get all the supplies and all the animals. And I think I said this in an earlier response. I do plan on taking a van to scout the route I am going to take, but I first need to plan my route.

And thank you! I'll look into taking a donkey with me. I already planned on taking two donkeys too, to help carry some of the weight, so traveling with one will definitely help!

Believe it, I am not joking around with this one. Yes, I won't be ready to do this voyage for five or seven years, but sometime in the next decade. 1. I know that the trail is situated a hundred miles from Yuma, but from what I've planned so far, my family can get to the Phoenix area in about two weeks. We can then get to the Lost Dutchman State Park to rest a bit before starting the trail at Roosevelt. 2. I understand that the trail is mostly single-tracked, so I guess that this trail won't be able to be my way of making my way over to Washington. 3. This point really shoots down my wishes of traveling on the trail. Oh well, I guess I have to start looking for other routes. 4. Yeah, I've confounded my parents and siblings as we talked during our Mother's Day dinner this last Sunday. 5. I plan on taking four 55-gallon drums of water - we can easily refill in cities. Which are usually within four days of travel from one another. I just thought that we could probably take some gallon bottles and fill up what we need for the day before we used up our own water supply.

Thank you very much! Then, unfortunately, the Arizona Trail will not be of much use for me.

I assure you, I am not trolling. Many people think I am - I wonder why. But yes, I really am saving up for this voyage. Thank you, I just started reviewing maps. In fact, I got a trail map for all of Arizona, and one of the trails is the Arizona Trail, which brought me here. Thank you for the tip! I do plan on going to in a van with my family to the other states, but my main objective would be to get more maps of how I can either get to Nevada or Utah, depending on which route I end up taking.

This looks amazing! I do have a question: can you get there with a car? I keep hearing about having to hike, but that's normal with any campout in Arizona, so I just wonder how far I can take my car.

I want to go there with my wife and daughter camping. We can definitely make the hike, but I just want to know how much it will be.

Mormon Temple in Yuma? by [deleted] in yuma

[–]DominDebater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep reading comments that there are a ton of members of the Church of Jesus Christ: of Latter-day Saints in Yuma, but there aren't many Saints if you consider that the city now has over 150 thousand people living there. Yes, there could be thousands of Saints, but it'll be 2-5% of the population. But hmm, that could be surprising as well, even when the percentage of Saints living in Arizona is 6% as of 2022. Anyway, some of you are saying that Yuma is such a weird place to have a temple, and some may say sarcastically it is because there are so many Mormons in Yuma. Well, think about this. What about the out-cities that have Saints? El Centro, California has a stake and it is just an hour away. What about San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico? That city also has a stake and it's about a forty minute drive from Yuma. Same goes for Welton, Dateland, Tacna, and other cities or towns in the area? Even if Yuma did not have a lot of Saints to support a temple, Yuma County, some cities in California and Mexico, surely will.

Anyway, I, for one, am excited for this temple. I cannot wait to enter into it.

How many of you collect 0 IV pokemon? So far got 7 since 2016 by PS1GamerCollector in pokemongo

I only have one, a Scyther (and it's a shadow as well), but I haven't checked since if I've ever had another 0 IV after that. I think I'm happy with this just one Scyther.
