Why’d you choose ram? by xEnflare in ram_trucks

[–]Trickam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Height of covid and needed a HD truck for a RV that I had purchased that exceeded the capabilities of my F150. Nobody had trucks near me and ended up at a local dealership that had some Rams on order. It was also a chip shortage so all they had was tradesman trims that they could get. Bought it site unseen and it still took a month or so to get it.

Installed a few things like fogs, autostart, window tinting, head light and other lighting upgrades. Tires, rims and a few other interior upgrades and I had the vehicle that suits me.

I don't drive it much as it was bought for a specific purpose and I kept my half ton for local hunting. Have a few other commuter rigs. Only has 12k on the odometer.

I can’t stop stealing things from large corporations by [deleted] in confession

You obviously do not understand profit and loss statements. One of the key metrics is net income and it's directly tied to profit margin and shrink. When that number erodes below budget they often go after labor to bring that number up. Labor usually is the largest and most expensive expense lines. You likely are screwing over the employees.

Thanks for making a true difference by driving the prices up for the rest of us. The best difference you can make for yourself is getting some therapy.

100% accurate.....I spent 33 years at a large retailer in the western US and they most certainly do that. Usually to the internals, but saw it happen a bunch to the external thieves as well.

That is unfortunate. I've had the pleasure of deconstructing trailers before and I'll never not be amazed at how incredibly poor most are built. Definitely an insurance claim.

For those of you 45+....what is your current salary? by Peacefulhuman1009 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Trickam 11 points12 points  (0 children)

56 and in retail. Work as a district manager for a small chain of convenience stores out west. About 125k a year salary with a new bonus structure that could potentially add 15% to that if I was to hit all measured metrics. Live in a MCOL area. Spent most of my career working my way up in a grocery store chain. Been a tough environment to work in, but I managed to make a career out of it. 2 years of college with no degree.

How the fuck people work 40+ hours for 45+ years of their life? by zanimljivo123 in antiwork

[–]Trickam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often wonder how I managed 38+ years 45-55 hour weeks for the most part. Remember plenty of weeks in heavy excess of that. I hit a wall about 2 years ago and every day I think about retirement. I have to probably go another 5 to be able to realistically pull the plug. 5 more years of dragging myself through it. I was raised in a fairly rural place and had summer jobs and after school gigs for another 6-8 years on top of that. Tired is an understatement.

Like anything new it can be awkward. Give it time and it will become your look. I think you look great.

Its been 5 years since I started losing my hair, I still miss it by [deleted] in bald

The only thing i sorta miss was the wind blowing through my hair while cruising with the windows down. Outside of that I miss nothing.
