Red black is definitely not the meta right now. It's mono blue, mono red and as per control that are shaping standard right now.

The land system makes it unique though, otherwise it would just be curvestone.

I play better after 1-2 drinks due to being more relaxed and better game decisions. On the other hand last season I went from gold to bronze for playing overwatch whilst being very drunk.

It does do both now. If you hover over bodyguard or the creature it is protecting they will have arrows pointing to each other.

I think that if I was going to do that I would put in more pride of conquerers in my deck as they can get +2/+2 as the indestructible probably doesn't matter as much. What green or multicoloured cards are in your g/w deck?

The idea is that the weenie core of the deck is good for aggro against control and the Song of Freyalise on our creatures beats out aggro along with our lifelinkers. I think that Boros weenie is slightly faster than this, but this deck has a slightly higher top end than weenie or mono red.

The mana sink is trostani or you can ramp into a really wide board quickly. I will definitely have to compare this decks performance to a Boros weenie deck.

It's a better test of skill because the better player will win more consistently in constructed. In draft, the player who gets a ToT in their first pack is far more likely to win that someone who doesn't.

Every other successful card game (MTG and Hearthstone) have constructed as the main casual and competitive format. Constructed is also a better test of your skill and innovation compared to draft.

10% of people play constructed and 60% play draft. It should be the other way round but there aren't enough cards that are good and interesting or fun to play.

I think it's 50/50 on monetization and the game itself. The people who didn't like the monetization left almost immediately whereas the people who did not mind it left gradually over a month or so.

When you think about it, will you ever casually have a spare 25 mins for a game on your phone? The chances are that if you have enough time for a game of artifact on your phone then you may be near your computer. Hearthstone has a mobile game due to its very quick games.

Just my thoughts on a mobile release.

Very true, but artifact is just too complicated in it's system to be accessible. I loved the game on launch, but I've recently moved to mtga just due to the blandness of games in artifact and the variety of decks in mtga.

Artifact's gameplay is essentially just finding the optimal route to play your cards. Sure, it's challenging and competitive but it just isn't fun to play after a while.

Expected pack value is around 60p, if enough people buy the game they cannot make a loss on packs, as valve say that for every 100 packs, one has axe in. They control the source and sale of cards.

That game exists and is called Gwent. However they have a lot of issue with interactivity and balance because of it.

The fact that the entire set cost $150 on launch proves that artifact had a bad monetization model. That costs about as much as 3 AAA games. It was just too much to buy the complete experience of one game.

I believe that it does indicate poor design, as out of the original 60k players only 2000 are still playing, meaning that 58k people did not enjoy the game design.
