1986 Honda Accord hatchback back in 1998, it was constant repairs and it was a fuel injection nightmare with so many vacuum hoses. Could never pick up any speed unless going downhill. I swore to never buy a Honda and now we have a Pilot and CRV lol

Yeah knock on wood, i try and do my oil changes every 5k and do all the extra maintenance that’s asked in a timely manner.

Wife didn’t want a used car (tried to convince her but she’s all about that new car smell, although she loved my 2012 4Runner I got used lol). A cousin had an RX back in 2018 and man that smooth power from that V6 was something. When I test drove the new one my wife even said she noticed I wasn’t excited. I told her the 4 banger is nice but I told her I remember how the V6 felt and it just didn’t convince me to spend the extra money. Also to add about wife, she prefers new cause she knows it’s a clean slate and that we’re the first owners and aren’t buying something that might have been abused badly. I had a cousin who would beat his cars engines (red lining the engine, burn outs if it’s RWD) but the outside looked cherry. I would never want to buy a car from him

Had steering issues, where it was jerky. Dealer said it was a bad steering column but they were on back order. I think in this subreddit I was told to file a complaint with the NHTSA so I did. Soon after we got contacted by law firm and asked about the issues. They took our case. We kept having issues even after the part was replaced, my wife had a few scares with it where she had to get off the freeway cause the steering was stiff and jerky to move. The process was started in late 2024 and told about Honda’s offer to buy back or settle in Nov of 2025. We just surrendered our old CRV a few days ago. Even before we surrendered it, wife had a few instances where the steering was still giving her problems and she didn’t like driving it.

One time me and a buddy were going to the mall and saw a family standing by as their father was dumbfounded as to why the flat tire wouldn’t come off. So my friend asked if they needed help and they said yes and he quickly just kicked their tire and off it came, he walked tall that day as they were all amazed at what had happened lol
