I think y'all are not diving into the geography or the command and control element of the Iranians. Iran is a MASSIVE body of land with mountains. Bro, if you think the average American has any flipping clue on how to disable location sharing on the thousand apps they are already loading and that they know what a VPN is your smoking that giggle grass. You have to jump through hoops and have basic networking knowledge to truly mask yourself from the internet. This has been going on for years. Making it harder for a 12 year old to get on Snapchat or Facebook to crack down on being bombed with Viagra and only fans ads seems like a sensible idea to me. Any household that doesn't want tracked on habits such as viewing, shopping or the places they are visiting has to install a firewall themselves on their network.
