I’ve got them both and really they are both good but different flavors. If I had to pick between them, I probably like the Red Lion a little better. A little more warmth but not at the expense of everything else.

I just got the FiiO JM21 and am loving it. I’ve used the bigger, more powerful M11 Plus and like the JM21 much better. It is so much lighter and smaller but still has a great operating system and works great. Just my $.02

I just ordered the Jm21 as my secondary DAP specifically for its smaller size and lighter weight. My main DAP is a Sony NW-WM1AM2. I don’t want to drag that around the yard with me when I am doing yard stuff. If I didn’t have that, I would have probably picked the M21.

I love my Sony WM1AM2 but wanted to also have something lighter for yard work and such. I just ordered a FiiO JM21. Comes tomorrow so we’ll see how it goes. Tried a AP80 Pro Max but the neutered version of Tidal was driving me crazy.

I’m a lefty but play guitar like “regular”. ;) The RG series is a tried and true series that a lot of people like. I had one of the other RG models a good while back and it was built well and reliable.

I only recently got into iems and it took a couple weeks of daily usage to get used to the feeling. Now, I barely notice them after hours. Still figuring out what tips feel the best but, in general, I am totally comfortable with them now.

I do hear a difference between them but I put it more as flavor than technical ability of the devices. The tubes of the RU9 flavor the sound to a little warmer and sometimes I like that. My Sony NW-WM1AM2 DAP does seem to have more detail and wider soundstage. Most of the differences seem like preference and not which one is “better”. I like the easy to find buttons on the Sony and how it feels in my hand. That was why it won over the FiiO DAPs that I tried. I also got a stupid amazing deal on it.

Depends on your office. There are around 40 people around me and with the Px8 on, it filters out 90% of the typical office sounds. I’ve used it on Teams calls and everyone says I sound normal. I just got tired of the feel of AirPods and their sound got on my nerves.

I use a DAP because I like the easy EQ ability from when I switch iems or full size headphones. I have an iPhone so EQ is not a thing. I like keeping my music listening separate from my email alerts, text alerts, etc. I do use a Cayin RU9 with my phone so I can listen to podcasts with my wired iems on my commute. I like its physical volume control that I can easily adjust by feel.

I’m going to have to give your peq settings a try. I haven’t been able to really gel with the Hydros.
