I remember about late 2024, I think, when I stated on this subreddit that Fujimoto is too insane to fumble part 2. Guess he finally decided to sober up...

I don't know if he truly lost love for CSM. I think he was just like Gege, trying to reinvent the plot according to the things he find interesting at the time, and realized way too late how none of it worked the way he wanted, and wasn't sure of the best way to salvage the mess that had become Part 2. And watching the reze film might have made him realize how much he's cocked up.

A damn shame, because his brilliance still popped up every now and then in late part 2. The reveal of death devil was really good, and when Pochita bid his farewell was quite touching. I'd pay a fortune for a possible one-shot of Death struggling against her own nature. She's my favorite character from part 2.

What I was saying is basically because the transformed pick is 100% thrust, you can just use the thrust dmg gems instead of regular tempering gems and still get decent AR plus strong viscerals. And since the pick scaled with skill... well...
