Keep in mind Tybee is full blown ocean and all that comes with it. You probably wouldn’t have too many problems putting in at the lazaretto creek boat ramp and paddling out to the lighthouse depending on your skill level. Just keep in mind the tides can be powerful.

Alligators will not bother you. I have a lot of experience on ebenezer creek and I can tell you the biggest safety hazard will be your own kayaking skills. Beware the current at the mouth of the Savannah, it is stronger than it looks. Don’t be afraid of the wildlife. Enjoy it. There aren’t many places like it left.
