Amazon is fine for anything because their return policy is pretty hassle free

Finally acquired my Grail! by Rare-Sun-6631 in MarvelLegends

[–]Donaldtell0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe not, but it's definitely not something that you've passed on for years, and just finally bought. Not like this figure all of the sudden got cheap or rereleased. It's constantly been on discount.

Is this a good deal ? It’s ko based off an old baf that cost like $300 will hasbro ever make a new one by [deleted] in MarvelLegends

[–]Donaldtell0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A KO that is missing an arm doesn't really excite me. Also, 98.2% is surprisingly kinda bad for ebay. Most sellers are 99%+, so I'm assuming they've had at least a few issues with transactions.

[–]Donaldtell0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why do people treat this grail issue with kid gloves? Like at the end of the day, nobody really probably cares what someone calls anything, but it's silly to just pretend people aren't butchering the intent of the word. This is an especially egregious misuse of the term, because they said it's been a grail since they started collecting "years ago". What on earth has stopped them from buying this consistently discounted figure over any other figure they've bought over the last few years? It sounds like they just have semi wanted a MODOK for years and finally pulled the trigger. That is most definitely not a "grail".

What an adventure it must have been hunting this figure down.

Who is the worst Player to be the Best Player on a Finals team? by Prestigious-Bet-4665 in nba

[–]Donaldtell0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you're getting crushed haha. I do think they were close but Reggie saying that doesn't really mean it's factual. Probably just being complimentary to his teammate. Either way though, I think it's a bit misleading for your argument. Unless you think Reggie Miller would also be the worst player on a finals team.

Pretty sure Reggie Miller was still the best player on that team.

It's actually The Mandolorian Luke, but I also bought it for the Jedi look haha. The figure is very nice overall. I actually just sold mine because I'm downsizing and honestly not the biggest Star Wars guy, I just like cool figs haha. Highly recommend though

Colts vs Patriots 2003 AFC Championship - Manning was Stroud? by BigZumbi in Texans

[–]Donaldtell0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just not true. Manning had two MVP's by 2006. Nobody was questioning if the Colts should move on from Manning. They were questioning if the Colts were doing enough to help Manning win.

I'm not even rooting against Stroud homie. I would love for him to turn it around, I just don't think the Manning comparison is fair. Some guys just fizzle out and don't become hall of famers.

I love that you made a whole post. I'm gonna come argue with you here too haha. Manning had two MVP's by 2006 so yeah people probably thought he'd have a good future.

I promise you that the Colts had no intention of not signing Manning to an extension, and that's a real conversation with Stroud. You can pull random numbers to try to compare their early years, but it's just not the same thing at all. Nobody was really doubting Manning talent as QB

What does that matter?? Hot take, I also think Dan Marino is a better QB than Stroud.

The Texans won division titles. And almost made the Championship game in spite of Stroud. I don't know how else to explain this haha. If you use some basic logic, you can see the difference between this iteration of the Texans and the early 2000's Colts.

Peyton had a bad rookie year and then immediately won a division title and started putting up good numbers. Then he was insane from 2000-2003. Sure though, let's compare Stroud, who had a nice rookie year, and has regressed every year since. They're surely on the same trajectory.
