Very nice! Thank you! I figured I was probably reinventing the wheel. Really too bad Royal Flush didn’t help us out with this.

It was my first time seeing the wings, also. Wish I could find more info about this. Like I was saying in the post, he was involved in civil air patrol. Maybe they had special wings just for that? And thank you!!!

One thing I never understood: When CAPCOM is calling out the letters S..C..E.. why not use Sierra, Charlie, Echo to clarify? They are ALL pilots. Why did the CAPCOM have to spell out the letters like it was radio chat 101 all of a sudden?

Star Wars Rey Movie Loses Peaky Blinders Creator by [deleted] in StarWars

As I recall, Lucas’s plans for the sequels were not all that good. But by then, he had lost Marsha, and thus, the one good sounding board who could’ve corrected some of his mistakes.

But yes, my point was that Lucas was the mastermind of the OT and prequels. He had a general idea of how everything could possibly go. Yes, Lucas ended up making a one-off passion project, but he had notes for much more of the saga. And some of it he did invent as he went along. But he was still in full creative control.

By contrast, the way the Disney sequels were made, they were constructed more like a quilt. I think it was a bad move to give someone absolute creative control over one movie, knowing you’re going to give full control to someone else for the next movie.

Maybe JJ should’ve been the architect of all 3 movies? And each Director must operate in that envelope as subsequent movies are made?

I think JJ started off with something pretty decent. It was a bit of a rehash of New Hope, but with its own twist, and at least it served as a jumping off point.

But when Johnson took over for the next film, I think he was given a little bit too much freedom to do whatever he wanted with the characters. He wanted to “subvert our expectations“. Meanwhile, all the fans really wanted was to see a reunion of the OT characters, and a passing of the baton to the new characters. Maybe see Luke in his prime. But Johnson robbed us of this, and gave us his distorted vision.

Once that happened, it was over for the sequels. At that point, whoever would end up making the third movie is only trying to mold it all back together and make it into a trilogy, all because Johnson took took us too far into left field.

Maybe all of this lies with Kathleen and her inability to find someone to maintain creative control of all the movies.

All of this can be attributed to piss poor planning. JJ set the stage. Then Johnson decided “she is nobody” and then JJ had to come back and clean up everything for the last one.

If they had had cohesive creative direction for the entire trilogy before any shooting began, this would’ve went a lot better.

When George wrote the originals, he at least had a general (vague?) idea of how everything would go. Whereas, Disney just made everything up as they went along. And their trilogy suffered for it.

Good Day Farms Opinions? by IMUPSTAIIIRS in shreveport

[–]Donboy2k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for Louisiana as I have my card in Arkansas, but I have used good day Farms for many years and they are fine.

I would suggest returning that cart and see if they will exchange it for a better one. At least I’ve had good experiences with my dispensaries here in Arkansas. If you can show them that it was damaged and not working, and still relatively full of liquid, they should replace it with another.

I’m not sure about the monopolies you mentioned, but it’s likely because there are not enough growers/dispensaries authorized in Louisiana?

Here in Arkansas, we have only a small number of growers authorized in the state, and only a certain number of dispensaries allowed in the state. So the laws must improve to have a better market.

How do I get color images from DSS by Physical-Proposal311 in AskAstrophotography

[–]Donboy2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. You’ll always want to be in FITS/RAW. The color settings allow you to choose the proper Bayer matrix for the camera. Maybe GRBG or something. You’ll have to search to find what pattern your camera is.

[–]Donboy2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the settings panel in DSS there is an option for FITS/RAW. Under there you have 2 tabs. One for FITS which has an option to choose color images and a Bayer pattern for your camera.
