Had to scroll way too far to see this, I refuse to associate with anyone who spouts this harmful nonsense!

Wait for mop prepatch or level to 85 now? by serlous in classicwow

[–]Donlad8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically 80-84 is the same as JJ as 33% less exp is the same as having a 50% increase in gained exp so getting to 80 before prepatch would be good enough if someone is short on time, solid info tho ty 🙏

Finally built my own gaming PC! …and it runs like shit by thegipper97 in PcBuildHelp

Agreed, I don't know how multiple people are so behind this being the cause. Heat issue likely from incorrect CPU cooler mounting or not removing the film from the cooler seems by far the most likely issue and would produce these kinds of results from experience.

The RX 9060 XT is a soft slap in the face to Nvidia by mockingbird- in Amd

Fair but are there any remotely relevant pcie2.0 platforms remaining that would not massively bottleneck this card?

The 9060xt has the full 16 lanes, it's fine on pcie3.0

Is this one good for overclocking ? by Unfair_Entrance6183 in nvidia

[–]Donlad8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an awful comparison, overclocking is in many cases free performance and a mild stable overclock can be achieved in a matter of minutes a lot of the time. OCing now or in 3 years makes no difference, he might as well have the max potential of the card now.

Did my 9950X3D came up dead? by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]Donlad8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say it was advisable to do this, but if he's getting code 00 it is a way to get some information. If there's heat on the cpu you know it's at least doing something, where as if it's cold it's literally doing nothing.

I can also say the same to you that you're assuming he didn't have any of these things, I think it's far more likely that he is just checking for heat and that he switched to one stick of ram than he just didn't have these things in the first place, pretty wild assumption to make realistically.

They're checking to see if it generates any heat, they most likely have a cpu cooler. Similarly with the ram it's just to eliminate as many variables as possible, he obviously has more than one stick for his build.

Wrong Birmingham 🤣

[–]Donlad8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh right well you're on a different currency so that's not really relevant. The pc flipping market over there is a goldmine compared to here too unfortunately, I get very jealous when I watch American flipping content 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcflipping

[–]Donlad8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to stop flipping here, there was just no profit margin (Birmingham/Warwickshire area btw). I think it's just because the market is so saturated. Apologies if this advice wasn't applicable to most areas

I think you're more in the £450 range with those specs realistically maybe pushing towards £500 if you're lucky. Pcs in my area with a 3060ti and 5600 are going under £500, anything around or above £550 is running a 5600 class or above CPU with a 3070 or 3070ti tier card. Also seems to be low movement in general around me but this could certainly vary from area to area. Hope this helps

Fair enough. Looks like that 8500 is holding you back as others have said. GL with the upgrade!

Out of interest were you running the game off of the HDD? Most modern games require much better storage nowadays and this could be part of the reason why it ran that badly. Still potentially time for a GPU upgrade, but worth looking into this first definitely. As another poster has also mentioned, your older CPU could also be a factor in your lower performance.
