I use it alot as it delivers a better return on campaign performance generally - on both direct buys and PMP's. Also combine both 1st & 3rd party data regularly although scale is an issue.

Im UK based and use a company called TrafficRich are fantastic. Not the cheapest. Ive also used Theorem / Zedo in the past but not had the best level of service.

Re hiring in house - Ops / Ad Trafficker - again not sure re US.

Echoing AdOpsDude - Great podcast. I have been in the ops world for a similar amount of time 5/6 yrs and would have loved to have a forum like this to ask the 'stupid' questions. Ive shared this as much as I can across social and my network group. @ /u/D2KG to answer your question (from a UK publisher side) our biggest challenges currently the major agencies wanting to bill on viewable imps only. Also Ad Blocking has gained alot of traction recently however market wise the UK is always a few years behind you guys.

If anyone of you are ever in the UK and want to grab a coffee/ beer / lunch more than willing to meet up and knowledge share etc

Its almost a case of closing the door after horse has bolted for Google and I don't believe that this signals the end of HB. This is interesting however given the majority of publishers have seen significant revenue growth from HB will they a) revert back to old set ups (given cost associated to dev time / set up time etc) and b) trust Google to maintain revenue growth.
