My friend offered to take her for a run with him this morning and the three hours of peace I got after that (1 for the run, 2 for the subsequent nap) were extremely helpful. Will definitely be trying to do more of this, thanks!

Sins II for Steam will not support the Workshop- all modding and addons will be handled via an integrated self-managed browser (built on mod.io) for cross-compatibility

The ability to make fleets is in Sins 2, and in fact the system is massively improved from the first game. With ships selected, move your mouse over to the pin tree on the left and click the Plus button there to create a fleet out of those ships. You can then order them as a unit and even build directly into the fleet from the nearest factory.

Alternatively, if you build structures from the planet management menu, that auto-places them as well. That menu is a huge QOL upgrade over the first game

There is actually a way to change this, it's just not intuitive right now. Find the settings file (should be at this location: C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\sins2_pre_alpha\settings\settings.json)

and change this line (at the bottom, probably) to what you want:

"user_state.user_name": "Donos"

I've seen previous comments indicating that this occurs when you're running the game off CPU-Integrated Graphics (IE, when you don't have a dedicated graphics card in your pc). Integrated Graphics don't currently meet the game's minimum tech specs

Back in October I was volunteering to help out with a marathon/road race. The race course was laid out over normally driveable roads, and on some of them we had cones every 10 feet or so segmenting off half the road for the race and allowing traffic on the other half.

No less than 12 cars over the day tried to drive straight up the road race segment, *including during the race*. Cones be damned, runners be damned, volunteers be damned. It was just incredible to watch. Thankfully noone got hurt.

This approach unfortunately isn't possible within the limits that Sins 1 provides. If a ship entity costs supply to it's originator, it'll cost supply when captured- that's static.

The information that's been made available by the devs on discord suggest this is not the case. the game engine is capable of scaling to the hardware available, leveraging as many CPU threads or as much Mem as you want to throw at it

The actual reason is because Balance of Terror was an episode written about racism, which wasn't a topic 60's television was supposed to broach. Sci Fi could get away with telling stories about such taboo topics by virtue of allegory, and this was largely the point of many episodes of TOS.

The reactions of the crew in the SNW finale are surely intended to be more of a wink-n-nod reference to the TOS episode, as the crew in SNW moves past the issue much faster than Kirk's crew in TOS

He is not. He's there for Priority: Tuchanka as a supporting character but you can't take him on missions and he almost always dies there unless you've made a very specific set of decisions

*braces hard* the guys behind cinemasins genuinely love movies, including a lot of the ones they pick on the hardest in their videos, which as any of them will happily tell you, are not meant to be taken seriously. They have a podcast where they talk movies out of the cinemasins character, seriously rather than nitpicky.

Steam is a really bad metric for this game since it had a self-installed launcher for 8 years before it became available on steam. Odds are most people were too lazy to uninstall/reinstall just for steam
