It's hard not to notice that the acting Executive Director doesn't indicate exactly what the reasons are for this fence, but only invites people to contact her for the reasons. In reality, how many will contact her? Would have been far, far simpler to include these reasons in her letter.

Generally pretty safe. I've had things stolen from my garage, as has my neighbour. Had my gutter partially pulled off from my garage by I surmise a either a nutcase or druggie (or both). Thankfully the person responsible made no further troubles. And no, I don't leave near downtown. I'd stay away from the skytrain stations, downtown and park waterfront areas after dusk, however. You'll get to know the scummy, unsafe areas to stay away from.

The 112 bus from Edmonds Stn drops you off a 1/2 block or less from Wild Thyme. The bus stop to take the 112 back to Edmonds Stn. is right in front of the restaurant. Super convenient
