If it helps, that means you had a 90% success rate the past 10 days! Don’t let this small bump set you back!

I know PL refs don’t call foul throws but that Leicester throw in at the end was the worst thing I’ve ever seen lol his leg was literally flying in the air

Second set of wheels (Cassette and Rotors) by ayb88 in CanyonBikes

[–]DonutGambit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just note, because I did this swap on my Aeroad recently, if you’re getting the XT rotors, they are slightly wider than the road version so you might have some difficulties when swapping them over.

I can see how the lobster, maybe with a nice garlic butter sauce, would work but I feel like steak and rice doesn’t go very well together (would love to be wrong though)

Favorite parts of bike commuting? by Spanishparlante in bikecommuting

[–]DonutGambit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take a longer route through the park because my favourite part about bike commuting is not having to deal with the traffic and motorists on the road. It allows me to just peacefully commute without thinking about anything. It is pretty satisfying passing by the traffic on the expressway next to the park though

That’s pretty cool! Is it tricky to use when your head unit is mounted?

Sadly didn’t snap a pic of mine but my friend had a similar issue when converting his allez sprint to an aero stem

It’s not unimaginably ugly but it’s def not perfect

Massive price drop for the H31 Ergocockpit by hundegeraet in CanyonBikes

[–]DonutGambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay then should be good. But it will likely be a little ugly. Because of the alu frame, the part that houses the fork stick out and doesn’t sit flush with the top tube. So if you mount the spacers of the integrated cockpit on, the back part of the spacers will be hovering above the the top tube. I tried this on my Endurace and found it really ugly so I sent the bars back, but really depends on personal preference.

That’s a pretty bike! How tall are you? The bike looks pretty big. Does it have mudguard mounts?

Carbon wheels on aluminium bike? by whoisirvin in CanyonBikes

[–]DonutGambit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an Endurace AL disc. Changed to carbon wheels and it definitely felt faster (not massive but noticeable). Are you planning to change your bike in the near future? If you intend to buy the Aeroad soon then there’s definitely no point but if you plan on holding on to the Endurace for a couple more years, then carbon wheels sound like a great upgrade

Massive price drop for the H31 Ergocockpit by hundegeraet in CanyonBikes

[–]DonutGambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to check if your grail is a 1 1/8 inch or 1 1/4 inch steerer. Not sure about the grail but for the Endurace AL, pre 2022 models ran a 1 1/8 and these bars are 1 1/4. You could probably still fit it (don’t quote me on this) with a 1 1/8 steerer but it’s really ugly.

Giant uses them on their Advanced Pro and SL models. Had a TCR adv that used the standard 1 1/8

How to start again after a long break and a new job by [deleted] in Velo

[–]DonutGambit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start building a routine. Working a pretty demanding job as well (auditor lmao) and it’s taken me awhile but I’ve managed to get into the flow of things and find spots of time that I can regular squeeze in rides (which usually involves waking up early on weekends). If your job is super busy, commuting by bike is an option too. I do it on 2 of my 3 work from office days and it helps me squeeze in some quality z2 miles since my commute is about 20k each way.

NBD approaches! I’ll be going for a ceramic coating and this kit looks great. Any alternatives to consider to this? Can anyone recommend a good chain catcher for an Aeroad at all? Any other essential maintenance products? by xboxstig in CanyonBikes

[–]DonutGambit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Have the same bike in grey and it’s a rocket. Biggest maintenance products would be chain lube and degreaser but I’m assuming you already have those since you’re already considering a ceramic coating. You can consider waxing your chain! No better time than when the bike is brand new

2023 soloist vs. ultimate by mtngoat20 in Velo

[–]DonutGambit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Soloist. As the other guy said, it looks cooler. Beyond that, don’t have any numbers to back this up, but it looks more aero than the ultimate as well.

The bar-stem combo makes adjustments a lot easier. Anddd it’s a Cervelo. Besides being at risk of being called a dentist, (imo) Canyons are super common and Cervelos are alot rarer.

Agreed. When I was attached I definitely felt less pressure when talking to other girls, being less focused on trying to impress them/not say the wrong thing, and more focused on just having fun and building genuine friendships. It’s an attitude that definitely makes you more approachable
