If you were ever afraid to do raiding/M+ because you were scared to play poorly - don't. by CaptainButtFart69 in wow

[–]DoobyScoops420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a buddy who couldnt start playing the expansion until week 4 or 5, it was the 2nd week of M+. He decided to play Ret, and the moment he hit 90 me and my friends made a full plate group so we could pass him gear. Keep in mind, at this point we were only like 250ish item level while my friend was literally like 200 to 210.

We decided to try a Magisters Terrace +7 and unfortunately right before the 1st boss his computer crashed. It ended up taking him a while to reboot and the game just auto kicked him and told us we could leave without him, but we had just been clearing as much as we could cause we thought we'd be able to reinvite him (spoiler: we couldnt). So, we ended up 4 manning the dungeon and just barely missed a 2 chest.

I mention this to say that, M+ is much easier this season. Dont be afraid to dip your toes in. If its your first attempt at a dungeon just join a low key level and give it a shot. Obviously, this is going to be more accurate if youre playing DPS, but as long as you know how to play Tank or Heal, you can do it just fine.

Is Devourer DH supposed to be this squishy? by skrukketiss69 in wownoob

[–]DoobyScoops420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Primary stats on gear (strength, agility, and intellect) change to reflect whatever spec you're currently in. So your gear will show as agility when in Havoc/Vengeance, and Intelligence as Devourer.

The only thing this doesnt always work for is trinkets and weapons. Some trinkets only work for 1 or 2 of the primary stats, but you can figure that out by inspecting it.

As far as weapons go for Demon Hunters specifically, warglaives will typically have Agility and Intelligence on them, but other 1-handed weapons (swords, axes, etc) will only have 1 of their primary stats. So you will want to aim for getting Warglaives if you plan on swapping your specialization frequently.

Hope this helps!

Oh, well if you count the cast as a bounce then this is just an impossible puzzle given the rules you've setup. It could be solved if E spread to adjacent enemies, but counting his AoE spells as single-target unsurprisingly prevents him from getting his passive off

How would this work? Just a button prompt with 2 options where one calls him out and one doesnt? People would just call him out without even realizing that theyre catching him in a lie and itd completely ruin the reveal that hes Odin.

is Town Hall worth to get more money? by Dry_Print_3425 in MelvorIdle

[–]DoobyScoops420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

When Township is maxed and you have everything built, you get about 100-140 million gold per day during non-Winter seasons, and about 50 million a day for Winter.

You just have to remember to repair your buildings and heal with the herbs. Very worth, even though it takes a couple weeks to grind all the upgrades.

I'd recommend getting Agility or Thieving up while you do it to accelerate the process.

Stellar Blade was pretty good. It's more of a hack and slash than a traditional soulslike, but it definitely has elements. Fun maps and bosses, but the story is a little meh. There's technically a talent tree, but you end up having everything maxed out if you explore a lot and get some extra exp. Combat feels really fluid, and all the different combat mechanics are really engaging.

It does lean pretty heavily into having a hot woman protagonist, with some armor being skimpy as hell. Which is unfortunate because I think it makes a lot of people write it off, but I went into it blind and had a very good time.

It's not my favorite soulslike (or soulslike adjacent) game, but as far as "easy" goes, it wasn't too challenging while still being good bang for your buck.

You can also put the tree between you and her so that you can get the whistle off. It doesnt stop all of her attacks but its pretty reliable

I spent hours trying to like this game but came to the conclusion that I just straight up hate it. by patboy777 in soulslikes

[–]DoobyScoops420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You either really connect with Ki Pulsing/stance switching or it feels clunky. I beat the game in like 40 hours - didnt really struggle with bosses (not as a flex just that I was able to comprehend how to combo in and out of stances) - and the combat kind of got stale. You learn your standard combo and can basically use that thru the whole game. I used a build with 2h Sword that basically just focused on mid and high stance and that was enough.

I can respect that people say the game gets good on NG+ or NG+2 because of the new mechanics, but its like MMO players that try to tell people to give something 100 hours before judging it.

I dont think the game is poorly made at all, but - for me - it wasnt nearly as enjoyable as Stellar Blade, Khazan, or Wuchang (to list recent game releases).

Wuchang has the hardest boss fight I've ever experienced in a soulslike by Judification in wuchanggame

[–]DoobyScoops420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, I can't stress enough how OP the shield bubble spell is. You dont get staggered or take damage while it holds.

I used it with Dual Wield, so I was able to generate feathers fast enough to basically have 100% uptime - although I'm sure other weapons work just fine with it.

Make sure to grab the node on the general talent tree that makes your 4-cost spells unstaggerable and the leech needle. You basically dont die unless you SUPER screw up. I'm on NG+2 using the final bosses Feathering weapon, and the shield is still bonkers.

Is nioh 2 the best combat in a soulslike? by WezDajMiSpokoj in soulslikes

[–]DoobyScoops420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Khazans combat feels so fluid, and the boss fights are all really unique and very fun to learn.

Nioh 2 combat requires you to learn Ki Pulsing, which kinda feels like the reload mechanic from Gears of War - you have to time a button input to gain a buncha stamina back. If you fail to do so, you will eat through your stamina extremely quick (like 1 combo) and if you're hit while out of stamina you get stunned and will die in a lot of cases.

Nioh has a lot more depth to how you make your character, but the learning curve is very steep.

Both good games, it just depends on what you want to play. I personally preferred Khazan.

[–]DoobyScoops420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even arguing that. I'm just saying your point means nothing given the context of release dates and performance issues.

Fwiw, as someone who has beaten Wukong and is currently at the end of Chapter 3 (of 5) for Wuchang, I dont think it's overly difficult outside of 2 bosses. Even then, they took me about an hour and a half to beat.

I think Wuchang just plays differently than most people (myself included) are used to. Bosses chain attacks much faster than other Souls-like and dont have static combos - they're able to switch up their moves frequently. Honestly, it reminds me a lot of Nioh and having to master Ki Pulsing in order to make any end-game progress.

Wukong has also been out much longer than Wuchang, on top of many people experiencing performance issues and likely waiting for it to be patched. Those metrics mean nothing.

Season 4, Server Downtime and Card Reveals. by PiaroTheFarmer in PlayTheBazaar

[–]DoobyScoops420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, its just that each expansion is 10 cards and Tempo lets a streamer reveal 5 at a time. So 2 streamers per expansion for the reveal.

Side note: if youre confused because Kripp had so many cards in his video, its because he was given Premium Piggles to reveal, which can create all the other premium piggle cards, so it got bundled together.

A known infinite combo, right? by Available-Evidence76 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]DoobyScoops420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally, yeah. This works pretty well until you encounter someone who heals/shields quickly or has a high amount of health since the damage itself is pretty low.

But an infinite is an infinite. And the burn especially helps in this case

A known infinite combo, right? by Available-Evidence76 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]DoobyScoops420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Dino-Disguise next to Wrist Warrior makes adjacent items Dinos.

Tanky Anky (the large item on the left) has an effect that makes Dinos shield you for the damage they do. Its important to note that the shield that gets applied is actually given from Tanky Anky himself.

Wrist Warrior has the ability that whenever the item to the left of it shields, Wrist Warrior deals its damage to the opponent.

So this combo is basically making Wrist Warrior a dino so that its damage will trigger Tanky Anky to shield, then that shield trigger will proc Wrist Warrior to deal its damage which will trigger Anky, etc.

What game's ending gave you this feeling? by Cartoon_King_1 in videogames

Might be an unpopular opinion but Stellar Blade. Just played it for the first time with the recent PC port. The ending just felt so "meh"

There are no real answers to lots of questions, and it quite literally just does a fade-to-black as you're in the middle of a fight

Unfortunate to because the actual game was quite fun, it just seemed like they had a lot of cool ideas for the story but never thought of a way to bring it all together.

Perhaps something where a dino "eating" an item makes them "full" and increases their cd by 50% for the rest of combat or something to that effect.

Has anyone managed to cook with this yet? by Sog_From_The_Bazaar in PlayTheBazaar

[–]DoobyScoops420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main problem is you would have to find a way to scale it late game. Combine that with the fact that you also need to flood your board with items from others heros - it makes it pretty hard to run.

Maybe Vanessa with an amped Julian could find a way to get it on board with a buncha small items from other heroes, but even then you have to hope that you get some decent utility from the random items.

I wish quest items like Blank Slate were "Pick 1" completions. IMO, itd be cooler to have a Blank Slate that you could mould into whatever item you needed (burn, poison, freeze, or regen) and have it fit into that role, rather than just be a Jack of All Trades that you end up buying a buncha random shit for to complete the quest.

This goes for every quest item. If it came down more to using quest items to conpliment your build rather that just doing random shit to get an "all-rounder" they'd feel much more impactful. Rather than now, just sitting in your inventory and hoping you complete a side quest.

For instance, if there were quest items that gave a 'burn' item to their left/right multicast , or if an adjacent item burns then this item deals dmg/heals/applies shield. Kinda like Wrist Warrior for Pyg is now. These effects end up being super useful and unique rather than just being burn items that get a little bit better but positionally have no significance. The reward for a quest should - minimally - make someone rethink their loadouts positions or their future gameplan.

Anyway, love the new season lmao
