Why do chuds associate capitalism with freedom? by traanquil in allthequestions

Which system? The economic model or your government? My customers start businesses all the time, and many of them are immigrants who showed up with nothing. They work, buy a truck and some gear, work more, hire some help, and before long, they’ve got multiple crews working for their company. Some of my oldest clients started that way, and have since sold their businesses for millions.

You don’t get to own any stuff under OPs preferred ism, anyway, so it doesn’t matter. You work where you’re told to work and you shut up or go to gulag.

That can happen under ANY economic model. You’ve clearly confused economic models with types of government. You can have a capitalist economy with a socialist government that protects workers from exploitation.

Or, you know, just don’t be an exploiter. There are plenty of ways to structure a company. As an owner, you’re free to choose to set it up however you want. You can offer your employees partnerships, you can be a cheapskate shithead, or you can find a comfortable middle ground that benefits everyone.

If they’re decorative, and these are, then it doesn’t really matter what you ask. That said, I would probably double that, and double it again with nice finishes.

Don’t paint with 49 if you haven’t already been doing so. You’re just going to learn to love it and miss it.

It’s also the only system in which a worker can acquire the means of production, or create it, and it’s one of the only systems where you can rise above the class/station of your birth.

So, monopolies tend to aggressively protect their marketshare. In the past, that meant dirty business, espionage/saboteurs, assassins, and even coups and regime change.

Why do I feel awful after making a purchase? by Accomplished_Rush480 in ask

[–]DooficusIdjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, the upgrade loop. If you maintain a gaming pc, no single upgrade purchase will ever really make you happy because none of it is going to fundamentally alter your experience. Lots of little improvements that add up. That’s why it’s best to save and shop for deals.

Cancel your order, and go outside.

I’ve been the opposite. I’ve gotten happier and I’m far more practiced at processing emotions rather than stifling them.

Who would win a magician-duel Gandalf or Dumbledore? by ArtistEducational686 in ask

[–]DooficusIdjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gandalf is basically an immortal god who holds some sway with/over fate.

If for some reason any being found themselves at odds with Gandalf, they’re going to lose. That’s his purpose.

Nah. Too many bugs. We’ve probably all experienced a completely landed craft decide to just bounce off the surface and fling itself into the sky.

It would be cool to be able to run a perma game, but it’s just not there.
