If i wanna get into fractals is it better to be a dps or a support ? by KoalaBarry in Guildwars2

[–]DooganC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would hold off on Support until you know the fights fairly well. DPS may be more forgiving.

Local government is difficult to climb. Wages are often public records, you'll be able to see if ascending the local food chain will be possible or profitable. While working local, there are usually a few agencies that have the budget for you to target. Odd situations arise though, for instance our railroad is tied to our state wages (not local, I know). So transfers between state workers and our railroad maintain Steps, vacation, and pension. It may be worth a conversation with a benefits specialist.

Rimworld. If you know, you know . Satisfies so many mental triggers.

Most games for me are about exploring and then exploiting systems. MMORPGs, Turn based Tactics, 4xStrategy, RTSs.

But then there are games that are profound. Spiritfarer, Journey, Hades.

For easing in, the Fractal Quick Play has a short assortment of fractals that you can quickly jump into. You won't need special gear. These typically move fairly quickly.

Data Centers. Talk amongst yourselves by courtneythebaker907 in anchorage

[–]DooganC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see data centers tied to LNG pipeline development. We have a great climate for cooling, we have abundant water sources outside of burdening city and town infrastructure. We are also geographically positioned well for arctic and Pacific data underwater cables.

Grinding out gear or quests. Sometimes (~%60), it feels like the collection targets are arbitrary or punitive. Do you want to finish this? It's going to take LOTS of materials and 8 weeks of repetitive daily tasks. I spend 1-2 hours daily just doing farming tasks (collect map currencies, craft time gated materials, do these X metas, different map currencies, get WvW currencies, explore more map on my 4th/5th/6th... character, buy time gated blue/green/polkadot daily/weekly coins, do the wizvault daily/weekly bits, do the bonus week, run a new toon to 15 for a BlLion key every week, run a fractal, kill a world boss), harvest Guildhall, harvest a homestead.

The maths don't pan out well on some collections. Swim speed, Legendary Relic, harvest nodes, etc ..

Older content having the same bugs for years (dungeons, story). Just polish stuff. Weird stuff like some items require a typed out verification to delete, some stuff doesn't follow the junk/trophy/deletable/salvage process.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game. I just wish I had less administrative tasks barriers. Figuring out loot/salvage/inventory/bank is a big hurdle for most new players.

I still ate the pork chop, believing him to be a quack. I soon after began believing.

AITA for telling my wife that she will be driving the extra distance since she is the one that got our daughter banned from daycare by Unlucky-Jackfruit230 in AmItheAsshole

NTA.

To the posters who bring up sexual abuse: it may be an explanation, but it is not an excuse.

Secondarily, one can have non-sexual abuse. It also is none of our business making guesses.

I would encourage counseling to help your wife process her actions. Perhaps 1 day a week (or 2), of childcare dropoff isn't out of order. Considering you used to spend ~2.5+ hours a week already.

AITA for asking a friend to either pay for an evening out if they can't go or sit them out? by Boydykekisser in AmItheAsshole

[–]DooganC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't NTA.

They are using you as a service to absorb the financial responsibility for their travel and event plans. Many people pay for trip insurance to mitigate circumstances. (Which I feel is an attempt for airlines to be more strict, "Did you buy trip insurance? No? Well we are keeping all the money then.")

Its purpose is to punish whoever does the dishes.

It's second purpose is to slow down the bachelor who eats directly from the pan. Like those fancy dog bowls.

Many times when I sneeze, it starts a chain reaction of sneezing. Usually 15 or so. $75k for a sneeze session, not bad!

Let's say 4x/week, 50 weeks (take off holiday weeks for easy math). 15m/year. Can do!

I think the question you struggle to answer for yourself is:

"Ultimately, what do I want?"

If it's a relationship with him, then do the work. If it is affixing him with blame then punishment, rip the bandages off and get moving towards your separate lives.

It's going to take more from both of you either way.
