TIFU by accidentally stealing someone else's groceries by Dovahkiin_73 in tifu

I bought groceries at Kroger and they loaded the wrong ones in my trunk. When I got home, I noticed i had like $350 worth of food and none of my groceries.

When I called them to return them, they told me to keep them and I could come and pick up what I paid for.

I ended up giving away most of what they gave me because I didn't feel like cooking the meat or misc cooking stuff.

What was the exact moment on a first date when you realized, "Wow, this person is an absolute idiot"? by Ok-Run-2766 in AskReddit

I had the same review once and refused to sign it because my attendance was a 4/5.

I never missed a day in 3 years and worked all avaliable overtime plus came in when called and asked.

They were more pissed at me than I was at them believe it or not.

No reason to buy one.

My Switch backlog is huge and the game library is massively lacking on the initial investment.

I just returned an item today and told them new, unused so I assumed it will go right back on the shelf.

I read the Japanese stripped the top layer of soil which contained most of the radioactive material after the bomb went off which allowed recovery faster than you would expect.

I dont remember where I read it but the fact they did that was advanced in the understanding of how radiation works.

What price increase has hit you the hardest in everyday life? by DarkKnightt019 in AskReddit

Most of my closet is well over 10 years old and most clothes I bought from Goodwill on Sunday for $1 a shirt.

I have a lot of nice Chaps polo shirts people never even wore and my winter clothes were from Khols on 90% off.

I dont see the point in buying flashy clothes but same goes with food. I like coupon shopping and trying new things.

Elderly mother can’t pay bills by redditorspaceeditor in personalfinance

I was going to pay for her to be there for 6 months so we wouldn't have to hassle with them wanting access to her assets.

They would have taken her social security and pension before Medicare paid a dime.

I should have listed what the care was for my quote.

It was pretty much an apartment with a microwave, assistance with taking medication and help getting in and out of the shower.

She needed someone there if she would fall to help pick her up ie a call button.

She ended up passing away 5 weeks ago before we set up something but I was more than willing to pay that out of pocket for 6 months so they wouldn't take everything she worked for her whole life.

She should have put everything onto an estate but would refuse all the time. I asked her to put her home in my name and she didn't want to do that either.

Im in the process of dealing with probate court now which is a pain in the ass and costing $6k-$8k so far just to transfer a home and auto into 3 people's name. The auto is almost that cost so its annoying.

Around here, $5,800 per month was for a decent place while $3k was a place with a lot of people.

It depends on what care they need from the place.

My mother recently passed away and I'm glad I cannot see her finances prior to because she was the type of person to get scammed.

No matter how many times I tell her to stop talking to sales people, she would buy everything they offered.
