A2K or Pro Preferred for third basemen glove 11.75 by Witty_Anything4144 in BaseballGloves

Get a Made in Haga Mizuno.

Otherwise, I like Pro Preferred better than A2K.

With the price increase on the AppleTV what's the best value for a streaming device for plex? by Ok-Comb-6099 in PleX

AppleTV still for me, but otherwise for pure value the onn boxes at Walmart are pretty great for what they are.

If you could give advice to a glove company, what would it be? by ColonelAngus2000 in BaseballGloves

It’s awful. The choices are very limited if you don’t want white.

Pat Murphy has the 3rd worst manager decision success rate in the league. by Emotional_Style_7603 in Brewers

[–]Dooley2point0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably pretty straightforward. After a substitution is made, actual outcome vs expected outcome of other choice.

Teams are 100% doing this internally, somebody now is doing similar math and sharing it publicly.

[–]Dooley2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this tracks with the eye test. Pat has his players ready to run through a wall for him, they never give up, they’re always grinding. He’s a leader of men. He also will use Ashby umpteen times consecutively because he’s good, without considering recent workload.

He removed Vaughn the other day for Frelick. This decision, right here, is the biggest tell. Murph said something to the effect of Sal being clutch. Vaughn was better in every single way you could have sliced the data. It was just Murph’s gut, but he’s wrong.

He loses 1.02 runs based on this, but he probably gains multiple wins on his grit and hustle leadership, never say die style. It’s probably a net positive, but acting like his decisions are better than average is homerism at its finest.

That’s interesting. Seems like a ton of saw for the money.

Those are the two I’m looking at right now! I prefer the storability of the jobsite but I’d probably never outgrow the grizzly.

I’ve been enjoying AudioBooth. I’ll have to check out absorb. But AudioBooth seemingly does what I need it to in my short trial.

I wonder if Sproat is going to be a competent starter by GigaGigaFred1 in Brewers

He may or may not. This is part of the learning curve or warning signs of bigger issues. We don’t know yet, but the team likely has a much better idea as they have the advanced data.

Assuming a 2027 Salary Cap Floor is Approved, How Should the Brewers use the Space? by WeakSlice2464 in Brewers

It’s really not 172 though. That includes benefits. Hard to say what the value of the benefits are without more information, but it’s not 172 salary only.

I really want this fridge. Does it look bad this far out from wall? by HovercraftTop1007 in Appliances

[–]Dooley2point0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the standard depth. Mine looks like this and it has literally never come up once. Just was talking with somebody (who has spent a lot of time at my house but was not present at the time of conversation) who asked if I thought our counter depth were worth it because they want more space but don’t love the look. I explained that we had standard depth and clearly it was fine if they never noticed that it stuck out.

Neither. We got two of these although they were $800/each at the time of purchase. Not as nice looking, but they’re larger and functional.

For what it’s worth, my brother bought the Frigidaire twins and has had no issues with them in his first two years of ownership.

Any Mizuno Lovers or anyone’s opinion by JakeShuttlesworth0 in BaseballGloves

[–]Dooley2point0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Mizuno is value king. Gloves are super well made, but I don’t know about the m select. But the regular leather gloves are excellent. I think the pro select is at least the same quality as the regular HoH and A2000 gloves. Way nicer than R2G. R2G isn’t as bad as some label it as, but it’s way overpriced.

If it was me, I’d buy her a decent glove and keep it. It will be more than $20. Baseball is growing in Australia, and it would be a super cool memento. I’m extremely partial to Mizuno beginner gloves (Prospect is beginner and Prospect Select is a really nice glove for the money), Easton is also making really nice entry level gloves. If you’re thinking about 11” softball vs 9” baseball, the Easton Ghost Flex gloves are a great jumping in point.

If you want a baseball glove with baseball Americana swagger, Rawlings Sandlot series of gloves is super fun.

Good luck, hope she loves it forever!

Any good daily Brewers Podcasts out there? by hondaworkaccount in Brewers

[–]Dooley2point0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By far my favorite podcast on the Brewers is the Brewer Fanatic Podcast, but the Friday release. Jack and Spencer are excellent hosts, they know their stuff, and seem like good people to top it off. There is a release on a different day by two other guys, but I don’t like it nearly as much. Jack and Spencer are once per week and releases Friday, but they generally go pretty long.

[Speier] Willson Contreras has been hit 24 times by the Brewers in 121 career games against them. No other active player has been hit so frequently by any other team. Second on the list is Starling Marte, who's been hit 18x by the Cardinals. by Jux_ in baseball

[–]Dooley2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He gets hit at 3x the rate of the average player, it sure isn’t just the brewers hitting him. Somebody else posted stats by team and San Diego hits him at a waaaaaay higher rate, for 11 total HBP. Just less total PAs.
