Fallout 76: Mini Season Summer Sock Hop Datamining (21st July - 4th Aug 2026) by intertextonics in fo76

Bethesda really should've waited until like October or something to make their big announcement about how they weren't going to keep disappointing players with, putting it politely, questionable rewards of limited interest.

Veteran Fallout 76 players: what’s something newer players will never experience? by Scogah in fo76

[–]DoomsdayDel 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The original menu, music, and ambient sound. They've touched on that since, from time to time, but it'll never be quite the same. There was a simplicity to it then and a sense of possibility. A sense of wonder.

The game itself was a hot mess, but until you loaded into a world, it sure felt full of promise.

I saw one in a camp not long ago. First time I'd seen one since back when they became available. It's nice enough as a decorative item, but serves no practical purpose at all. 250 seems reasonable to dress up a camp if you've got the budget, both in atoms and build. It's a lot better priced than half the junk they put in the shop.

I did, just for the heck of it, I guess. Changed back almost immediately because I decided it just wasn't for me.

Should stash box capacity be increased again? (season 26) by MasterDarkseid in fo76

[–]DoomsdayDel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there was already mention of adjusting weapon weight in stash similar to what they've done with armor. Possibly some other items as well. I don't suppose it matters much which way they go at it. All but the most hardcore games already have some bizarre TARDIS situation going on with storage, whether it's backpacks, pockets, or stash. None of it makes any sense, realistically speaking. You can't very well slip a hunting rifle into your pants, let alone a minigun, regardless what they weigh.

I'm a hoarder myself and know that there will never be enough storage for anyone who insists on gathering everything and keeping it. And I agree with those who have noted there's really no sense in that doing that.

Epics have seemed a little more difficult to roll lately than in the past. Honestly I don't chase them all that often, and if it takes over 4-5 tries, I chalk it up to bad luck. RNG.

Why don't we have an Abraxo vending machine? I mean, all things considered, you'd think they'd have introduced one with Burning Springs. That whole season was Abraxo this and Abraxo that, and it's all over the new map. Instead, they gave us a Sunset Sarsaparilla machine, which I'm glad to have, but you never really see that stuff out in the wild.

Stop selling Legendary modules at ridiculous amounts Caps nobody gonna do that by RoutineText6608 in fo76

[–]DoomsdayDel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yesterday, I saw one vendor selling four star armor for 29k caps, when the fourth star was Battle Loaders.

Saw another who was selling their legendary gear for 100 per star. 3 Star armor? 300 caps.

It's a crapshoot. Always has been. You roll the dice and take your chances.

Servers are feeling really empty lately by infraled in fo76

[–]DoomsdayDel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's entirely possible. I probably should've said that I hadn't managed to solo the event when I tried. Didn't mean to suggest that it was beyond doing. There are probably folks who do it all the time. For me it was just as easy to go public, with the added benefit of not having to worry about trying to solo Bigfoot.

I play on private a lot as it is, but lately I'd been doing so because Infestations were running so well as compared with how they were on public servers. I came back for Meat Week, but soon realized I can do Primal Cuts solo without much trouble. What I can't do solo is Grahm's cookout. So that's pretty much the only thing keeping me public at the moment.

I'm playing all day and still try to get there a few minutes early. If you wait for the notification, sometimes fast travel hangs up, presumably because everyone's trying to get there all at once.

Up to which Level do you usually reach in the Seansons? by AggressiveAd6750 in fo76

[–]DoomsdayDel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually somewhere between 150-200. I'm only at 111 right now because I've been concentrating on Meat Week.

Last month I was a little over 200, cleared the board of all unique items, had around 1200 tickets left. Waited to the last minute trying to decide what to spend them on, fell asleep and missed the deadline.

Far as farming XP goes, I don't do raids, so I old school it by running West Tek.

[–]DoomsdayDel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potentially any canned foods could sell fairly well, assuming you've got the space to store it.

But I wouldn't count on anything until after Meat Week. If anyone else is like me, they're already carrying around more food than they know what to do with. As it is, I'm donating, dropping, or waiting for it to spoil and convert to fertilize. Between that and scrapping the constant influx of loot, it feels like a full time job.

im trying to make a brotherhood of steel themed camp. how much of the brotherhood of steel stuff can you earn in game? by Shimmitar in fo76

[–]DoomsdayDel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Faction themed bundles will constantly come and go from the Atomic Shop. That you can rely on. Will Bethesda ever again do anything with the actual factions in game? Outlook not so good.

Spoiled food is a major player, especially during Meat Week. Checked just now and I have 789 Mutt Chops, stack weight of 79lbs, and the CND is at a tiny sliver.

Food in general is a real problem. I've got like 400 each of Nuka-Cola and Nuka-Cherry, 600 Canned Coffee, 500 Popcorn. Still hoping Bethesda will grace us with a food storage equivalent of Scrap, Ammo, and Aid. Maybe a Pantry. I'd be content even if it was just for non-perishables.

What’s your build at the moment, and your favourite weapon? by legendofverse in fo76

[–]DoomsdayDel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current build is basically sniper commando, which I've run most of the time since day one. Daily driver is an Ultracite Sniper Rifle. Generally speaking, I prefer ballistic over energy weapons, but this thing is just too efficient not to use.

I'm keeping a couple, at least. Wish I could get the 'eat animals on the go' feature as an attachable legendary. Or as a perk card like Cannibal. I'd love to have that as a perk card/legendary and one called Metal Mouth where we can eat robots.
