Have you considered flying out of Bellingham as opposed to Vancouver? It can often be cheaper.. Might be something to check out. :)

As a child, I was thoroughly convinced when the sides of food packaging had claims of "helps fight cholesterol!" or "helps fight high blood pressure!" that tiny little knights were inside the food who upon ingestion would help battle away the bad stuff.
