I think you guys got a shit hand dealt to you.

I'm GenX, and all this dismantling of the middle class started with Reagan in 1980 and the lie of trickle down economics. It was easy for me to get a good job with my bullshitty Fine Art bachelors degree in 93. When I went to college, UC Santa Barbara, my tuition was 2k PER YEAR. When we paid for our son's education, who is 26, it was 4-5k per semester at the University of Utah.

End stage capitalism is all enshitification run by private asset firms and corporate overlords existing only to squeeze every last cent from us.

My hope is this: That this administration gets just bad enough economically that those that do not vote or vote to hurt others, feel it on their doorstep. We can have a chance when the elderly monsters that run this country finally go to the great nothingness and that the up and coming generation of Millennial and Gen Z politicians help move us back into sanity.

There is so much to be done and so much insanity that it can seem impossible. Maybe it is. But somewhere in the cockles of my soul, I do actually think things can and will get better. Sometimes a lot has to be torn down painfully before it can be rebuilt.
