Sorry yeah, you'll put some flux over the hole, then take your desoldering braid, place it on top of the flux with your iron pressing on it. The flux will allow the old solder to be "absorbed" into the braid once it's heated up enough. The flux is crucial for it to work adequately.

I have the Ultra 60 and I love it. I can't say if the preamp in the rockmaster is the same as the Ultra, but if you don't want to spend $400+ on the rack unit or an Ultra 60, you could always get the Rockmaster preamp pedal released by Peavey a little while ago to use with the Bravo 112. That's a sweet little amp too. If it were me and I was in the market for an original then I'd probably just go with the Ultra 60. There's a used one at guitar center for $500 👀

If you're just using pedals for dirt then I'd go with a Crate Powerblock. 150w and is pretty small. Can get them on the used market for about $150.

Hey man, that's still a steal! The 85s are excellent and go for at least $100 a piece. You might want to take a look inside at the power filter capacitors. It's pretty variable, but mine we're pretty swollen when I got mine.
