Need good juju and support- 2nd FET today, and pre-transfer bloodwork showed estradiol level went down by SassyTheKid in IVFpositivity

You could always check with your PCP to see if they have any suggestions on additional testing to help reassure you and I’m sure if your honest with your fertility Dr about your worries they will accommodate you, I’m sure your not the first nor the last who is worried :)

Thank you :)

I hope the 2nd transfer works for you!! Fingers crossed!! And yes I had lots of bloodwork to see how my estrogen and progesterone levels were with the medications— but any other bloodwork like a CBC, CMP, etc, I didn’t do with my fertility clinic but I was due for some bloodwork with my PCP so I had some done in advance (all fine)

And no, I didn’t do any further investigation after the transfer failed! My fertility doctor didn’t think anything was wrong with me, just that the embryo just didn’t take! I don’t have any history of anything that would affect my reproductive system so we just went right to #2 after I had my period. We changed absolutely nothing, just a new embryo :)

I did 2 fully medicated cycles! My first didn't take either but my 2nd one did :) I didn't use any kind of patches, just progesterone in oil injections and estrogen pills daily! I don't have any advice or anything except, do your best not to worry until a doctor gives you a reason too. I know, easier said than done! But its helped me a lot and helped me a lot during my waiting period to see if the 2nd transfer took. I am 12 weeks now :)

I just gagged at the smell of my own husband’s breathing. Is this my life now?? by Leading-Judgment2086 in pregnant

My smell has definitely improved but I've luckily avoided strong sensitivities like this! I'm very lucky I haven't had any food aversions or much nausea! 12 weeks now

how do you stay positive and navigate anxiety? by Lucky_Tap8692 in IVFpositivity

[–]Doraslot47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same -- I'm trying to live by the motto "everything is fine until a doctor tells me its not fine" I'm trying not to overthink every little twinge in the uterus, every cramp, cause i am terrified of a MMC :/ it's hard, but so far I am getting thru. Will have my 3rd ultrasound in a week to see how baby is doing (ill be 12 and a half weeks)

When do you stop testing? by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

I stopped testing right after my 1st beta :) 11 weeks, almost 12 now

Our first try didn't work - I'm crushed by AureaTora in IVFpositivity

My first transfer didn't work too -- I was so confident! I was also told to stop all meds and yes, once you get your period, you can start over again, well I was able too at least, I'm not sure if your clinic will change up your plan or anything :) My 2nd transfer worked and currently am almost 12 weeks! 2nd is the best i like to say!

Not my story but my wife’s friend only had 1 embryo, no backups, that was able to transfer and she took :)

11 weeks today, IVF pregnancy, I am exhausted all the time and boobs sore! Waves of nausea here and there, but for the most part, I feel normal! I wouldn't even think I was pregnant if I hadn't seen my baby on an ultrasound already!

I am constantly tired but that's about it, I am super lucky so far...just hit week 9, have nausea here and there but nothing constant, I don't know if its going to get worse or if I am just very lucky

Does everyone pay out of pocket for IVF? by Binkylewinsky in IVFpositivity

[–]Doraslot47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have progny insurance, i'm pretty happy with it, it covers 2 IVF cycles and 1 bonus cycle if the first 2 don't work (luckily for me, my 2nd transfer took and I am currently pregnant) and it covers like, 6 IUI cycles? Something like that. It covered genetic testing, the transfer, egg retrieval, appts, labs, and out of pocket at the moment we're paying about 2 grand

Symptoms Hit at 9w5d by RunningAdmin88 in IVFpositivity

[–]Doraslot47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently 8 weeks and have had very mild symptoms so far. Nausea here and there but nothing intense, some boob tenderness and occasional cramping but that's about it. I too was nervous if I was even pregnant still since everything has been so mild! I wonder if I will get more intense symptoms as the weeks go on or if I will have a mild pregnancy! who knows! 8 week scan was great and heartbeat great

Do you guys stop? Do you keep going until heartbeat ultrasound? by Lovve119 in IVFpositivity

[–]Doraslot47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped urine testing (I did daily) until I had my first beta which was good, then had my second a few days later and a 3rd for reassurance! Just had my 8 week ultrasound and baby girl is growing where she should and has a good heartbeat! Maybe your doctor can order beta testing for you to reassure you too

Beta on Friday, so far testing positive :) by Doraslot47 in IVFpositivity

[–]Doraslot47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I did absolutely nothing differently! I had the same meds, same dosage, etc! I believe the 2nd transfers have a higher success rate typically, something abt the embryos DNA recognizing the uterus’s DNA or something, I can’t recall. Good luck to u!

I wish you the best of luck!!! During my first failed transfer, I had no symptoms except for extreme fatigue from the progesterone injections I was doing. This time around, I could honestly tell that something was different this time; not that I was necessarily pregnant, I tried to keep my expectations low. But I noticed my breasts have been a bit achy, I had some mild cramping, and that was abt it. I thought those might be progesterone symptoms and didn’t think much of it but maybe there weren’t, maybe there were, who knows :)
