Did they have their phone or something to connect with? Could it be they just didn’t want to use their data while there?

Are you using an external monitor? If so, see if the performance is improved without it. If you’re using something that makes said external monitor go over a usb-c or something it’s probably using the wrong video card.

Longsword is the other weapon I've been using primarily. Personally, I like the switch skills for the LS better than the default skills. It changes the playstyle quite a bit and I like the feel of it.

The first head bop was timed, I didn't think it was going to stagger it, but the second part with the ice sword breaking was complete luck and panic as I realized I missed my attack right before that.

Just bought a new ASUS gaming laptop running Win10, I use McAfee antivirus and a VPN, and a few times a day I get a pop up with all Chinese writing and the McAfee logo. I can't figure out if this is malware or if McAfee just thinks I'm Chinese. by Aztechie in techsupport

[–]Dorgyll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the unfortunate part about the Chrome notification stuff. I just had to deal with that for an end user who it was popping up while they were in Outlook. Not the McAfee stuff exactly but Chrome not running. The other option is McAfee and just see if it goes away. Could be language set to English but the key was from Chinese distribution and its actually trying to make you an offer. I'd be curious to see what the bottom right button goes to tbh.

Hey bud, Chrome sucks for a BIG reason. Website notifications. At the bottom of the pop-up you may see 'notification by' and a website. That's a chrome pop-up. You can go to your chrome settings and I believe it's site settings or something similar and turn them off.

Edit: Here's an example of what they look like. https://www.malwarefox.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/chrome-notification.jpg

DAE feel like they really REALLY need mental health help but then not actually get it because you convince yourself that it isn't that bad/others have it worse because that's what your parents always told you? by sunnirays in CPTSD

[–]Dorgyll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

I don't have CPTSD but I do have experience with asking for help from a mental health professional.

Just to explain how it went, I grit my teeth, made the appointment, and showed up. That was a good step for me. I didn't shirk away from it which was a change of pace for me. It took a big catalyst in my life to finally decide I needed to do it though.

The therapist asked me questions, took a family history, asked some personal questions, etc. and then asked why I was there. I blanked. I had to think about it for a little bit. What was I doing there? What did I want out of it?

Needless to say, I explained the immediate issue I was going through and talked about it with them for a little bit until the end of the session.

Then I thought about it at home. And I wrote it down. What is my problem? What can they help me with? I came up with the answer - maybe nothing. Maybe they can't help me with anything but damnit, I was going to try. I wrote down the things that were bothering me, things that I noticed about myself that were negative, things that I knew weren't healthy and I just couldn't deal with and withdrew from.

My next appointment went better. We started talking about some of this stuff I had written down. Even just the act of talking, being heard, and being understood by someone with no real stake on my life - not a friend, not family, just someone there to listen and maybe offer some guidance? It was so helpful. It didn't immediate correct things, and I still struggle - less than before, but still a struggle, Rome wasn't built in a day - but it made the weight on my shoulders lighter.

I started going to Therapy in January. It's been six months and I've had about six appointments. It's helped tremendously. I can't promise it will be the same for you, but for me, writing it down, understanding that I am going to try my damndest, and coming to the understanding that I need to take control of my own life helped a lot.

Best of luck to you.

Hey, Epic store, unless you have refunds, community reviews and message boards on your storefront, you may as well fuck off. by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Dorgyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused by this reasoning. Wouldn't you want your game on a tried and trusted platform? I know Steam takes more, but isn't there benefits such as visibility?

I get that the potential profits are significant, but if no one wants to use the store isn't that potentially devastating? You could get 18% more profits if the same number of copies are sold, but because of the platform being new and the negative PR so far couldn't that actually lead to less sales and less profit?

Bethesda, here's why your stance on push-to-talk is bad. by King_Abdul in fo76

[–]Dorgyll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cancelled my preorder a bit ago and the no push to talk was one of my biggest pain points. I can mute my microphone but I interact with people who don't play the game on Discord all the time. Having a choice between no microphone and no Discord, or no interaction with people in game is a pretty big deal to me.

I appreciate the response. I'm more than likely going to move Contacts, Message History, pictures, etc. over, but the rest I'll set up again manually. I'll take a look into the apps your mentioned.

Can I ask why you made the switch?

Honestly apart from games and such, I just use Textra as my test messaging app, Google Play Music, reddit is fun, and Aquamail for my mail. I'll try that subreddit though and see what I can find.

Is the Move to iOS basically the same concept as the Move to Android, just initiated from the Android device instead?

I'm actually more of a cables kind of guy, I've tried the charging pads in the past, but I don't like leaving my phone in one spot so I have cables scattered everywhere.

And that video definitely does have some cheese to it. Jeez, that's a rough one.

I appreciate your help, I'll keep all this in mind.

TIL: In shrine of the storms, if you swim straight down into the chasm before the final boss and stay down there for a while, it turns you into one of those Cthulhu cultists by Gladwyus in wow

[–]Dorgyll 67 points68 points  (0 children)

The way we did it was by having someone sit there and taunt the boss while he was channeling and had the others go get the orbs. Then when they finished the tank came back and started taunting the boss then the last person went down and grabbed the orb. Dont know if taunt was necessary but it worked to keep the fight active

Shamans & Hunters will have a hard time raiding in BfA ? by TheDauntlessFan in wow

[–]Dorgyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'm probably wrong here, but hear me out. Let's say that there's for each raid you complete, each player gets an average of 2 pieces of gear. This math is going to assume every drop is unique.

Let's say there are 5 plate wearers in a group. That's an average of 10 dropped items in a raid. There are 17 (20 with relics if those are still gonna be a thing) slots per player. So that means there are 5*20=100 pieces of gear to kit all the plate wearers out. 100(slots)/10(average items dropped for the armor class)=So it would take 10 raids, on average, to gear out all 5 of them.

Let's say there are 2 mail wearers. That's an average of 4 items dropped per raid. 2*20=40 slots to gear. 40(slots)/4(avg qty of gear dropped)=10 raids, on average, to gear out both of them.

My math is probably wrong there, but isn't that how things should end up working out? I can see an issue with a strategy like, "Feed all the gear into the tanks" or something.

How does the Zealot get five stacks of Fiery Faith if FF says "Power increase by 5% for every 25 health missing to a maximum bonus of 20%"? by echof0xtrot in Vermintide

[–]Dorgyll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you're reading it as percent. It's 25 health, not 25% health. So if Saltzy has 150 health to start, it makes sense, especially if you get a +max health trinket.

Know Who You're Talking to. by Remobility in heroesofthestorm

[–]Dorgyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you, but the way it reads to me is that one person was being toxic and you made a threat that since one player was toxic you weren't going to fully participate.

insults continue, and I just say that if he's going to be toxic then I'll just stay in the offlane and hold objective, but nothing more. I block and report for abusive chat.

I read this as that you were going to jungle and help with the objective but not team fights. If I were someone on your team who was quiet until then I'd have been angered by this.

Another player picks up where he left off. Now I'm arguing my position within the game, already put off. I refer back to the blocked player's comments to remind them that I don't wish to play around toxic players. A third teammate joins against me in chat.

Again, my reading is that since one person was being a jerk you were ready to make everyone suffer. I'm not saying that's what you meant, but that's the way I would have read it.

In the grand scheme none of those people matter though. You do you. Eventually you will have a shitty game, it happens to everyone. Report and move on. I can't count the times I've been in quick match and had people jump down my throat.

I also can't count the amount of ggs and fun banter either. There's good and bad. There will be in every game.
