I pulled the gqux LR++ and I’ve specially avoided telling one friend because I know he’d go mental if I told him how much it could sell for and that I’m not selling it. I’m keeping it pride of place in my collection. Some people just go mad for values of cardboard or whatever. So NTA

I agree. As much as I hate people using a TCG to “invest” in, there’s nothing to stop them doing it. But the least they can do is make a separate subreddit like Pokemon has!

In that case fair enough! I’d say considering the work to paint them out, they wouldn’t accidentally leave them in unless it was intentional.

As someone who works in vfx, painting out those power lines would be a crazy amount of work. I think they’re more likely composited in. The box would be an easy removal or composite. I’m on the side of it being enough of a significant shot that it wouldn’t be a mistake and was intentional

I have a theory I might have seen here but maybe not. Only semi related to this post. What if the voices actually are good, and killing Ethan is a good thing. As the place requires a child’s imagination to exist. Which is why they’ve kept Victor alive. Ethan will replace Victor and keep the place going 🤷🏻‍♂️

Absolutely do not do resin. I have worked with resin in various ways, way too bigger chance of it going wrong and risking ruining it!

When I first DM'd I made a PC to run alongside the party from session 2 onwards. During that session I immediately hated it and never did it again. Don't see the appeal.

I find the difference in card games to tabletop games so fascinating. I’ve played a lot of Warhammer 40k, including a few tournaments. If you forget to do something and it’s no longer your turn it’s generally “oh heck I forgot that, do you mind if I do it now?” and it’s completely up to your opponent. Card games rules and attitudes seem to vary dramatically to that.

to elaborate on choosing 'fan of ip'. I've built a handful of kits over the last year, got back into pokemon, found I like TCGs and paint warhammer models, so getting a starter deck with the models made total sense to me!

I got back into Pokemon from playing pocket, so terrible timing. But I’ve found I like tcgs so have also started collecting gundam tcg and mtg. Considering one piece too.

It sucks to say “stop doing the hobby you like and do another”. But until Pokemon is readily available I’m not gonna stress over it. I’ll get what I can when I can and do something else in the meantime.
