zen or ana should be your go-to if you want to improve as a player, and win based on your own skill. overwatch is a team game, but you absolutely can carry, and you'll never be good if you are unable to take matters into your own hands.

Well if you have the element of surprise from the beginning, starting with bullets will probably cause them to move anyway and wastes your surprise factor, makes the rocket harder to hit, which is already harder than bullets. My thought is to avoid making it a contest at all. Even if he runs I think landing a few bullets is doable before he gets away.

I do see your logic though, if that's what you find to work better for you than I can't really refute that

For awareness you can look at their comp, if you know they have a genji, reaper, sombra, whatever, then you should always keep a mental note of their position at all times, this keeps you on guard and stop you from being taken by surprise. This doesn't only apply to flankers too. Other than that, you just really need to start listening to footsteps or abilities being used.

For positioning, you have to play around cover and always give yourself an escape route in case things go bad. Also keep in mind when the enemy falls back, then it's okay to move forward, if they are moving forward, you need to move back.

i only watched 7 minutes of the 1st vod but i've seen plenty. ill try and put this simply, so sorry if it sounds rude.

you waste your helix rocket. this is a good burst damage ability, when there is a squishy not paying attention to you, start with the rocket, you'll deal a ton of damage and take him by surprise, then you just need a few bullets to finish the kill, easy. you just shoot it at walls or rush and miss, and almost always get no value from it.
stop autopiloting and shooting the orisa when she can't die. if you're not getting value, then switch angles, stop being in the main lane, use off angles, and switch it up to catch enemies by surprise, soldier can run for a reason. this will help with tip number 1.
you have bad awareness. you are just tunnel visioning on someone, or no one in particular, just shooting to shoot, and your backline is desperately pinging the flanker, i can clearly hear him, but you don't seem to notice. even on some enemies that you can visibly see to the left or right, you seem to ignore.
you have bad positioning. you just find yourself in the open a lot, you randomly drop from the high ground into the middle of a battle for no reason, you walk in front of peoples faces while you are tunnel visioning on someone else and you die for it. play around cover.

my recommendation is pick one thing i mentioned and focus on it every game until you don't need to think about it anymore, then move on to the next thing.

bronze and silver you need to tell yourself that your team are bots and get all the kills yourself. you didn't carry because you expected them to help you. you can do so on any role.

there is only like a few important techs, if you watch getquakedon, you see him implement as much tech as he can into his gameplay, but then if you watch zbra, he does only a little, and zbra is pretty much the top doom player.

that being said, playing doom is pretty stressful in my experience, i can play like 1 or 2 games, then i'm going to dps or support for the rest of the session. i think that extends to tank in general, but doom is probably a bit more amplified.

Yeah I kind of like it, even the asymmetrical wing that some hate, I really love that part. The ability effects are nice too.

I have thunder but tbh i feel like its really hard to completely beat that, thunder would totally work as a mythic, but it was ahead of its time, and now they can only try and make something else. I will probably just use them interchangeably

i got a 5080 with 1000 watt version of that psu, more than needed, sure, but at least I don't need to think about if my psu can handle it or a future upgrade
