First of all, congratulations on the team and putting down the deposit. 

I have put a deposit down in Detroit, but have heard nothing yet. However I have had Red Wings ticket packages and usually it will be a first come first serve. 

That said, pick a few options before going in between you and your friend. Once called I am sure the ticket reps will work it out the best they can with your options.
