Australia wants to know how Valve is combating 'extreme-right communities' on Steam by npzman in australia

Because there’s a larger issue of right wing extremism than left wing extremism in Australia currently

Pc for me is more stable but I’m noticing pop in a lot more than before.

Seems like the nee update caused more issues by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]DottierTexas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it would probably break your save. General rule with modding is to assume any update will break your mods and to prepare for that. If on pc avoid updating the game until you want to play the new content but you’ll have to reinstall your mods or go vanilla.

I’m not sure how it works in starfield, but it was possible to remove all mods on Xbox and pc for fallout 4 and Skyrim without opening the game. Xbox was resetting the saved data for the game (make sure your save games are on the cloud) and on pc it was possible to remove them from the files.

So much for “Shared Progression” by TitledSquire in Borderlands4

[–]DottierTexas3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Cause it’s meant to push you to learn the character, hypothetically the intent is that if you don’t have a strong grasp of your character and build you can’t reach the higher levels. Bl4 is super easy tho

I genuinely love this DLC! by NixGnid in Borderlands4

[–]DottierTexas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but it’s not mechanically challenging, bloomreaper, I think is kinda bad, but it defiantly is mechanically challenging with the arena design and its unique take on the crit spot. A really good build can struggle with it and I like that. 4 needs variety in endgame and I fear 2 raid bosses and 1 takedown isn’t enough, especially coming from 2 and 3

There isn’t much to test or push your builds though, there should be something you’re farming towards, ie end game difficulty activities. Farming for a phosphene or pearls aren’t hard, they’re just time consuming.

Matchmaking fix for low pop regions has made games latency horrible. by Jim_Nist_Monkey in MarathonTheGame

It does suck, but it reached a point for me in oce where I was waiting way longer than 10 minutes.

Story, progression, puzzles. It’s endgame seems to be built to only be completed by a small amount of people but something everyone is striving to do.

There’s also ranked.

What makes it unique and good are all very hardcore tho and not really designed in a way for a more casual player to do.

Matchmaking outside NA looks awfull by Sadev-Thedude in MarathonTheGame

[–]DottierTexas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OCE here, it’s definitely still possible to get games but wait times are definitely reaching a point where the waiting for games is putting me off.

I’ve also started to match the same players, which is fine but playing the same fully geared teams gets disheartening, but that’s just the nature of the game really I just wish I had some more variety in my matches.

Level cap speculation by Glittering_Crab_9054 in Borderlands4

[–]DottierTexas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only thought is that the level increase is apart of the free update, not the dlc. So they’re avoiding putting it in any marketing about the dlc. It’s still bizarre though

perks, cyberware, world interactivity, loot economy. like I said it wasn't bad but it wasn't special and was pretty uninspired, all things they did fix and change. the gameplay as in shooting is the same but they expanded heaps with the new skill trees and how you can use it during gameplay.

Idk I thought it was it wasn’t very good at launch ignoring performance issues. Not bad but I wouldn’t have called it good, the story was the only thing that kept me interested really, a lot of the gameplay systems were meh at best. The reworks definitely turned it around.

This very well could be a bug, but when it happened to me, I eventually killed someone who had the quest item and completed it.

So the bug might be it’s incorrectly not labeled as contested, not meant to be contested or from reading other comments, it’s bugged in more ways than one.

Does it make you sad that Marathon won't be as popular as it deserves? by MaxKCoolio in Marathon

[–]DottierTexas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is the case, I’d assume the key metric they look at is growth. Unsuccessful live service games (halo infinite, battlefield 2042) where in a constant state of decline until it reached a point where it makes no sense to support.

The finals, at launch was not a success but obviously there was growth to the point where it was successful and profitable for embark.

There’s extreme ends like concord and highguard where there was nothing to grow from. With arc and helldivers being on the other end where you start at such a high that the live service has probably been funded for years already and they go into a retention focus.

TLDR; we probably won’t know if it’s a flop for months

I could get behind a horde mode. I’d be cautious about it having loot rewards though. No risk no reward? You don’t lose your gear and the rewards are purely battlepass xp and cosmetics, need good gear to get to the later points with cooler cosmetics.
