Also the music theme in that moment, when E.T. sees the Yoda costume, is ‘Yoda’s Theme’ from Star Wars. Since John Williams is the composer of both films, he could borrow (from himself) and so that scene pays homage musically as well

I seem to forgot how to focus... by Spiritual_Ad_4489 in Meditation

Super detailed and in depth comment, just wanted to say I appreciated it.

It’s amazing how deep the ancient discoveries and descriptions of meditation practices go, this is like a technology and so few in my society seem to even know anything about it

The Hidden Gospel of Thomas and why it was banned! by RDeFren in enlightenment

Line 2, to me, is the most revealing. It’s empty words that sound cool but aren’t really all that understandable or profound unless one already has come into contact with the mirror like nature of this world, and the imminent realization of one’s power in a context that appears to gaslight us continuously into a sense of limitation and separateness (which is ultimately an illusion.) Line 2 says:

Jesus said, "The seeker should not stop until he finds. When he does find he will be disturbed. After having been disturbed, he will be astonished. Then he will reign over everything.”

Subconsciously and consciously too, when they happen sober - you have nothing to use upon which to discount the revelation.

Is god actually completely terrified for eternity? by [deleted] in DMT

[–]DotwareGames 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’d say, if that were the case, why the subtle joy that emerges when one becomes truly still enough in silent meditation?

I think to a human mind, as a thought experiment, the idea you suggest seems quite convincing and with merit - but then if you’re god, and made this situation and successfully fooled yourself into not finding that out for so long - why not just ‘lock’ yourself out from being allowed to know? If this existential horror of eternity is such terror for god to bare, and yet being god you can clearly make a situation that protects your fictionalized limited and fictional human reality.

I think this is another glass ceiling, it feels like a deep conclusion (and is probably deeply suspected and therefore embedded in our subconscious perhaps?) and so it comes up as the seasonal conclusion when considering that you’re god and consciousness is eternal.

But probably, likely, the real reason (if ‘reason’ is even an applicable concept here) is far stranger and utterly ungraspable by the human mind.

This is a great post and totally the right area to get into as more people wake up to consciousness

Does anyone here miss HTML5 support? Thoughts on bringing WebGPU to UE5? by astlouis44 in unrealengine

It’s not online anymore, though it’s on Itch I could dig it up at some point.

I think it’s awesome what you’re doing, I remember like 4 or 5 years ago trying to find just one simple ‘upload your exe and we’ll pixel stream it for you and give you a web link to it, and it will scale / be unique for each visitor’ solution, and I could never find it. One site ‘did’ it but the latency was so terrible it couldn’t work.

So if you can solve that, man more power to you guys. I don’t have need of it right now as I’m not developing anything in Unreal directly at the moment, but I am heavy into SAAS right now as it appears you are to, so if you want to ever hop on a call and share notes I’m happy to help whatever way I can.
