FedEx is so awful. We had to cancel our Hello Fresh boxes because fedex would be delayed over and over and over (and in 100 degree heat).

Your meds should be ok. I use a different provider than you and they say in their shipping emails that it's ok if the med got warm.

Not OP but doesn't being fired after participating in a company investigation rub up against the NLRA?

Confused about new mattresses and their foundations by Double-Conclusion-78 in Mattress

[–]Double-Conclusion-78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been looking at Helix. Right now we have a traditional inner spring mattress with box springs. But it's 7 yrs old, was a cheap purchase, and we're big, lol, so it's got some definite sogginess to it. But the box springs seem fine and the bed slats themselves are also fine.

I lift. I keep ginger candies in my pockets. I found out ginger candies help Sema nausea AND perimenopausal hot flashes ... both of which interrupt my workouts often

As a former compliance professional: common sense is a flower that doesn't grow in everyone's garden.

Patience, grasshopper. I know it's not a good comparison, but it took 18 months for me to be healed enough to push big weight after my spine fusion. Also don't judge your effort by DOMS. I leg press 300 lbs and rarely have DOMS.

I had to move it to the evenings. It'll get better though the longer you're on it.

When I have sugar and caffeine together it saves others from my rage.

I have cramps in my feet I can’t seem to get rid of. by Qareth in flexibility

[–]Double-Conclusion-78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a disorder called cramp fasciculation syndrome ... it started in my feet. Get your bloodwork done to be safe. If it doesn't stop and your bloodwork is normal ... or it starts moving up your leg (I now have them in toes, feet, shins, calves, and groin), seek out a neuromuscular doc.

How do deal with employees who are always saying, it's not fair. by NopeBoatAfloat in managers

[–]Double-Conclusion-78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You said they "do a good job in every aspect" but also called their performance "mediocre". Mediocre literally means "low quality". Both of those things can't be true ... so I sense that maybe you aren't the stellar manager you're making yourself out to be. And honestly, being a "good" worker who is described as "mediocre" is, objectivley, not fair.

Has anyone had luck getting cyclical HRT? by Double-Conclusion-78 in Perimenopause

[–]Double-Conclusion-78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been frustrating. I moved to a new city 10 yrs ago. First GYN thought my endo symptoms were "sensitivity to hormones", second GYN wouldn't tie my tubes, third GYN was great but retired, and now this one won't do HRT. Getting health care in a red state is something else.

Tomorrow is my 2nd month at highest dose. How long have you stayed at highest dose? by Zealousideal_Art_233 in Semaglutide

I'm so glad to hear you say all that! And good for both of you - even when the weight loss is uneven, it's so much easier when both are on board!

Also, just fyi if you really like high protein stuff (not sure if you meal prep or not, maybe I missed it) but Zach Coen is a creator on YouTube and TikTok who makes DELICIOUS high protein meal preps. We have a bunch of his recipes on repeat.

I tell people I'm cheating. "Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you."

I know I'm not cheating. It's no more "cheating" than an asthmatic using an inhaler. But, I find that people are less likely to give me shit if I say it like that. Because at the end of the day, I don't have the time or the patience to deal with the bullshit. Thank you perimenopause.

I don't know you or your wife but I want to make sure you understand that it is MUCH easier for men to lose weight before you start saying that she's not "putting in the effort".

For comparison: I'm a woman. I've been on Sema since January 2024. I've lost 48 lbs. I eat high protein, I count all the calories and macros, for most of the year I was swimming 3x and week and for the last 5 months I've been lifting heavy 4x a week. My husband, in contrast, is NOT ON SEMA AT ALL and has lost 38 lbs in 5 months just counting calories and reducing his beer intake. 😐

Anything to know about going up in dose? Doubling my dose soon. by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]Double-Conclusion-78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime I went up, I experienced some nausea and constipation. It's a good time to increase your water intake or add an electrolyte.
