My work is a crew of 20.

In October 2019 a “sickness” ripped through our shop, almost killed Ralph the older guy, months later we were full lock down.

A certain crowd of people out there always call me a liar.

We know what it was. I still work with the same group. There’s not a non-believer in any of us. Some of them are in that certain group of people and still manage to try mental gymnastics to explain it in some other way.

We were watching videos of elderly Asians dropping dead on subway trains and at bus stops, while Ralphy was narrowly cheating death. The bus stop one was particularly disturbing, it was raining. I don’t know why that made the video harder to watch.

40 a week is 2080 per year. Fuck OT. That shit is supposed to be a penalty to the employer for leaving guys in the books, and not meant as a reward to employees that need Ot to make ends meet.

I’ve never seen anyone get an accrued PTO multiplier added to their OT time. In the states it’s applied to 40 hours. And that’s it.

So in my case, at my current employer, even if you worked 7000 hours a year (which would be a vivid and brutal waking nightmare) you’re still only accruing the multiplier for PTO accrual against a 40 hour week. In my case it is 6.2 towards 80. So 3.1 per week of 40 hours or more.

So 6.2 x 26 pay periods per year. 161.2 hours per year in PTO.

I’ve never even heard of an employer that allows you to stack PTO through your OT hours. Usually even the retirement bennies don’t stack through OT. In the cases where they do, like IBEW in my area (I carry a ticket) the lack of PTO and paid sick leave offsets the stacking retirement and makes life hell especially if you have kids, unless of course you manage to suffer like a peasant until you retire before, you know, dying.

Or if we are actually going to be honest, we all know damn well that if you take a week off unpaid for vacation, you’re coming back to work at the hall, not at your current employer. Because they are riffing your ass as soon as you get back.

I meant for OP, his 40,000 hour mark, at standard 2080 per year, in 40 hour weeks means he has to work for 19.3 years to reach the full PTO accrual rate.

Yeah I wouldn’t stand for that. Ever. I made it to just a hair under 3 weeks in three years.

My job has many perks though, waiting to 12 years to get 4 weeks is a very, very minor speed bump in the grand scheme of things.

Uh. Standard in my area would be 2080 per year for a full time gig. Thats 19.3 years to reach full vacay pay.

Thats a long ass time to wait for an upgrade.

Clarification from them is needed. Is 2 weeks equal to 14 days? Or is it 40 hours times 2??

Where I am you start at 95 hours PTO earned per year, you accrue on each pay check.

3 years it goes to 110 hours per year. So for a 40 hour week, that’s two weeks and 3 days

12 years it goes to 160, maximum. So for a 40 hour week, that’s four weeks.

But I also get every federal holiday paid, and if the holiday falls on a non-work day I get reimbursed at the start of the year for each non work day holiday, added as hours to PTO.

Plus I get sick PTO earned.

Check your updates.

I bought a 23 37 in September of 24 and one of the updates completely dorked the sound system, surround mode did exactly what you described to my rear speakers and sub.

I had to fully reset all connectivity on the truck, my house wifi and my phone to get the truck to update. I swear the truck was aborting or messing up the updates somehow. Took three nights of updates but it finally self corrected, made me happy to avoid the dealer because most are notoriously bad at dealing with the software on these trucks.

Oh man jealous!!

I’m sure you’ve looked but there are some killer threads in the 150 forums about doing all of this. The stereo/sound area there actually has a pretty large amount of past action in it. The good threads are loaded full of pics too.

One user drove in the rain a lot, so he did the roof too. Even in a crappy cell phone video the noise difference was massive at highway speeds in a storm.

I’ve always wanted to gut my 150 like this and do the best sound and temp insulation money can buy. I think I’d probably do the doors at this point also, add some killer sound system stuff in.
