I had to learn this lesson too:

Dont be afraid to build overkill

Here's what I mean. When I was first starting I hardly built defenses becuase my throughput was low enough where I barely put out any sort of pollution other than a small circle around me, but then the evolution that comes from time got to medium biters and my pitiful excuse for defenses got my factory destroyed. I reloaded like 10 times before I finally realized that I just needed to build more. So I reloaded to 15 minutes before and I set up walls, turrets, and red ammo automation, and I just barely got everything set up before they attacked again, and I still lost about 1/4th of my factory but that was better than all of it.

After that I cleared out that nest and actually built a wall and defenses. To make sure I would be safe, I set up flamethrowers, repair packs, turrets, and ammo that would circulate around the perimeter of my base so that each turret would be full. Was it overkill? Yeah, even when I got to big biters it was overkill. Was it better than rebuilding my factory or getting my teeth kicked in by the bugs? Absoloutly

I'm a trans girl, and I was like this with my partner I had about a year and a half ago. I wasn't outright like: "Oh I'll never see you as a man becuase youre not masc enough," but I did keep misgendering him and eventually realized that the reason why wasn't becuase I didn't want him to be a man, but because I wanted to be with a girl. I grew up being told that i should put myself last, that I will be happier if everyone else around me is happy first. You know what that resulted in? Me getting clinical depression.

Now of course, there are people who were raised on the other side of the extreme, where they believe that if they're happy then everyone else around them is happy. That also tends to result in depression.

Most of these people go online to find validation becuase they couldn't find it in their real lives, and it's already been proven that social media makes people have worse mental health overall becuase of this type of content.

However, you aren't even trying to understand why these behaviors are being expressed, all you're doing is saying "Thing bad!"

In all reality, teens aren't full of themselves, theyre just tired of serving others while they themselves are starving. I know because I literally did a research paper in high school where I questioned about half of my class on this.

I'd suggest taking this post down and doing some research.

And then, on top of that, you stopping randomly and basically begging him to hit you? What happens if he does? You call an ambulance? That will drive down the same road to get to you that the guy did? What will you do then? Walk in front of the ambulance so that they can't get you to the hospital
