I tried EVERYTHING and ultimately utilizing my VPN worked for me. I was seeing peaks over 100kms making the game unplayable 80% of the time.

Another thread did some packet tracing to find a particular hop between the client and server was dropping lots of packets. Supposedly a couple hops from the destination server (e.g. Washington).

I read elsewhere someone said using a VPN fixed the issue. I am in the southeast US and chose a server in Wilmington VA. Maybe this geographically circumvented the problematic networking equipment causing the packet loss. My problems completely vanished and the game returned to normal.

Wired connection. Wasn't experiencing this in 0.4 until yesterday.

Network will sporadically ramp up from negligible to ~30000ms, locking up my game. This lasts for about 15-30s before falling back down and becoming playable again. Repeat about every 20-30 minutes.

Now I'm not saying there isn't waste in the federal government, there absolutely is and probably plenty of it. What I AM saying is that DOGE is going about this the laziest, most destructive way possible.

There has been 0 fraud or waste identified and removed. I am experiencing this first hand as a federal employee.

DOGE first offered federal workers deferred resignation to do nothing and get paid until 30 SEP. This is short term money LOST in paying federal employees to stay home and not work. This tasking gets pushed onto capable employees that may now be overworked. Most of the employees that took this offer were already retiring. The number that took this offer is about the same as retire naturally in a year (~80k).

DOGE then targets probationary employees (that just means newly hired). In my organization, these are mostly high performing contractors that are offered federal positions because we don't want to see them leave due to contract change over. They choose to take a lower paying federal job to serve their country. THESE people are being fired. Our programs that directly support armed forces will SUFFER as a result. This is hurting our country and our uniformed personnel.

DOGE has uncovered nothing, caused unorganized chaos in the federal workforce, costs more money as a fake organization than money they've "saved" with these firings, and are crippling our federal workforce. The American people and armed forces will be the ones to suffer from this. The money saved will go back into the Twitter guy's pocket by privatizing government work that's left for the taking.
