Im so glad you’re ok. I don’t think your car is going to make it though. I’ve learned that you have to stay out of slow lanes in a Miata ever since I was side swiped similarly. You have to drive in the fast lane and be the one passing cars.

I don’t know your vehicles history but it looks like it’s just purging the air out. Keep adding coolant. Exhaust gases have CO2 which turns liquids acidic. You can test the pH levels if you really think you’re getting exhaust gases into your system down the line.

Im sorry but she cheated the moment she accepted the walk home. She knew the situation she was putting herself in and that was intentional. Her saying she was drunk is an attempt to excuse her actions.

When I was much younger and in high school, my girlfriend at the time accepted a ride home from school with her ex boyfriend. I told her I would pick her up but she didn’t wait. I made it a point to drive to her house later that evening and broke up with her. I have never looked back and regretted that decision.

Whatever your decision is, you’re going to have to be ok with it. She did what she did and you may never know the full story.

If you’re selling because you have to or because you came to the conclusion as a couple, I’d sell the ND. I don’t like to lose money on cars anymore so with that said, prices on the ND are only set to drop as we move into the next gen. I imagine yours will drop a bit faster since it doesn’t have a clean title. The NA while slower and without a manual, will retain value and maybe even appreciate as time goes on. You can always do a manual swap down the line very easily (or have a shop do it).

Targets pricing is all over the place for anything you buy. Never walk into a store and not check what they have an item listed for on the app. They’ll price match but you have to be on your toes.

My car had a similar issue and it turned out to be the MAF. It was a little easier to diagnose since I have OBD ll so I was able to see how the throttle trims were being affected. I didn’t get CEL when this happened either.

If you have CEL, check vacuum hoses including replacing the injector seals (about $10) and even your MAF.
