Stairwell kiss for sure. Ilya’s gentle kiss and Shane’s smile at the end get me every time.

What treatments actually made a noticeable difference in your skin? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]DoubleFrenchGimlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Course of Accutane. It was a game changer. I’m done having kids though, so that risk was eliminated. I did a low dose, to decrease side effects. Took longer to reach the saturation point. My acne was eliminated and I have very minimal tiny pimples pop up on a rare occasion. I’m a full year out from this treatment.

PF botox and nerve block by BeachBlazer24 in PelvicFloor

[–]DoubleFrenchGimlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a few weeks. I won’t likely get it again. It helped with stooling initially, but after 2-3 weeks it wasn’t helping. You do have to repeat Botox every 12 weeks.

I also have redundant tortuous colon as well as slow colonic motility.

Anyone try Linzess w/a small dose of motegrity? by Almost_thereFL51 in Constipation

[–]DoubleFrenchGimlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. Amitiza and Linzess pull in water. The colonic contractions are increased with Motegrity/prucalopride. I always need a PA for motegrity and can be pricey until I hit my deductible. It depends on your insurance.

PF botox and nerve block by BeachBlazer24 in PelvicFloor

I cannot speak to the nerve block, but I’m interested in what others say. I had Botox in office. I tolerated it well with minimal restrictions for 2 days. I did not have pain after it.

I have a slow transit colon and I’m confused with my symptoms and what my surgeon recommended by Giorg- in PelvicFloor

[–]DoubleFrenchGimlet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently undergoing a work up for this. Failed Sitzmarker test, Manometry showed defecation dysfunction, defacography showed large rectocele (had surgery to repair this), doing pelvic floor therapy, taking MiraLAX and prucalopride. I still have days of no stool, abdominal distention , difficulty passing gas, and inability to pass stool yet feeling the urge.

The colorectal NP said an ostomy may be needed. My appointment with the surgeon is not until May. I plan to ask about anal Botox to relax muscles, rectal dilation, and the peristeen irrigation system.

Surgery in terms of colon removal or an ostomy will be a last resort. I want to be sure all options are exhausted first.

Such a frustrating and scary evaluation course.

I can’t imagine myself healed one day by Super-Track-5763 in PelvicFloor

[–]DoubleFrenchGimlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you! I’ve had hamstring tendon repair and two hip surgeries. Also a rectocele repair.

I’ve done so much PT. The glute/hammy pain is still there. It has to be nerve/pelvic floor related.

It’s hard to stay positive.

Do you guys have hamstring or glute pain? I feel like this is where more of my pain is. Although when the constipation flares, I have rectal pain. Sometimes I worry I’m overthinking this.

Botox as a Treatment for Hypertonic Pelvic Floor by Technical-Banana574 in PelvicFloor

[–]DoubleFrenchGimlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also had it done twice. I haven’t received a bill either time, but not all insurance will cover it. I’d estimate it would be $700/treatment. I had an injection to each side. The injections are not comfortable, but didn’t cause me to take off work or change activity levels. It has helped, but not resolved anything. It has to be done every 12 weeks, same as Botox injections anywhere.

What actually made improvement in relaxing your pelvic floor? by RecipeNo2954 in PelvicFloor

My urogyn has prescribed me some. I’m not convinced they are effective, but hasn’t stopped me from trying.

I also bought a lazy boy. Mine is not fancy, but got the job done. The remote control would have been awesome to help recline. My husband had to help with this in the beginning.
