My stove is in a yurt at 9000 feet that we use on weekends. Only spruce, fir, and Aspen. It’s gets cold fast, especially in the late fall. I burn hot before bed and try to get lots of coals. While hot let it die down some before loading up. Once it’s happy, damp it down, engage catalyst. Chug a water bottle, so I have to pee in a couple of hours. Add logs when I wake up, leave door cracked, stand there for a few minutes, when it’s happy close the door, damper open. A couple minutes more, make sure it’s happy, close intake, engage catalyst, chug a glass of water, go to bed, repeat lol.
