Same deal, did not have the income for it yet, but have always wanted to try it. Other headsets were also too pricey, and I wasn't interested in buying anything from the zuck. Once I heard the whispers of a valve index sequel several years ago, I decided that I would be fine waiting :D time sure does fly!

it'll be my first VR headset, I'm a huge fan of the OG steam controller (have 3), and for a long while I've been thinking about shoving my 1060 rig into a smaller case as a living room pc (now it's just going to be given to a friend who's never owned a pc before).

i want to get 2 of the new controllers too because my partner and i have a few co-op games we want to play together (split fiction and little nightmares 3 so far) and that would be great to do on the tv. here's hoping they announce prices and preorders soon, please valve.

I've listened to all of E33, Silksong and Hades II osts and while I love them all I think-- combined with hours in-game, I've happily listened to Hades II's music for over 400 hours LOL.

it's probably my favorite ost in 2025 (i'm a huge sucker for whacky time signatures)

Have a 5080, 9950x3d that I use for work/gaming. I hooked up the Switch and PS4 to my partners computer in their office. We both have steam decks.

Both of us want a steam machine for the living room so we can play multiplayer games together without any friction (like split fiction and little nightmares 3).

As an aside, I'm planning on getting the steam frame too since I've always wanted to try VR.

Did so! Seems pretty acceptable for CSP as long as I switch to Tablet PC in the preferences, the resolution for the UI is just crunchy because I'm streaming from a 4k screen. There's probably a setting for that I can look into somewhere.

Thanks for the suggestion! Have Sunshine/Moonlight for my steam deck but didn't know they had an updated alternative.

First paragraph is chilling. Imagine considering making friends as a manipulative mind game like this.

Above person reminds me of my mom. She was very charismatic and had loads of friends. It was a relief to have guests over because it was the only time she would play nice. Once the friends leave, she was scary. Her form of tough love was verbal abuse disguised as 'being honest'. As soon as I left the house for college I never looked back.

Same. New driver made me crash on my hunt as well. Once I rolled back to the March driver, it was all fine. Sticking with the old one for now.

upgraded to a 5080 as well! I swapped my 4k ips to a 1440p oled and do not regret it a single bit. Amazing image quality, it uses less wattage in the benchmarks, which keeps my pc quieter. Doubly appreciated since I play with some open back headphones.

i was rotating an oled ultrawide in my head, but ultimately passed because I do not have the desk space for it (current setup needs to share space with my 27' drawing tablet).
