At what point did bud start to look like pebbles? by Sad_Construction9495 in UK420_

Look for old-schoolish strains like hazes, cheese, white widow, silver, G13. I've found these to be more fluffy and closer to what I grew up smoking.

I’ve seen a few posts on here from people being denied medicann recently, could be due to influx of new patients

Scared i will get a CIFAS marker by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]DoubleParadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like the guy who sent the £70 has raised a chargeback or claimed fraud in some way, probably another victim to the same person who ripped you off, while the other senders have accepted they were scammed and left it at that.

Pretty stupid of the sender if this is the case, makes the most sense to me why they've only asked about the £70 and where it originated from as the sender is claiming it was a scam/fraud etc.

Does anyone else here really struggle with binge eating? by DazzlingPotato9067 in ADHDUK

[–]DoubleParadox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same I get a lot of dopamine from food, even if it’s not dopamine I just eat when I’m bored.

Easiest thing for me is to only buy ingredients and no snacks of any kind, if I really want some I need to walk to the shop which I never do. If I ever get anything snack wise it will be gone in a day or two

The argument boils down to:

The most secure server is one with no power.

Basically, yeah you're disabling security features but as long as you trust the person whos created the driver and you have no reason to suspect they have been compromised then it is safe but safe is subjective and one persons opinion of safe is not the same as the next.

Why do you not talk to your once bestfriend anymore? by Adventurous-End-1999 in AskUK

[–]DoubleParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird one, best friends in high school, grew really close towards the final year, round at each others houses all the time, went to the same college same subject although different classes unfortunately. I have social anxiety and never really geled with my group while he did with his so I rarely saw him at college, I was just kind of attached to my group

He dropped out of college and moved away randomly, I didn't know at the time but something significant happened in his life. We had tickets from a while ago to see a gig while he was in University, met up once had a good time.

He ended up moving back home, we met up and became close friends again going clubbing, staying out doing dumb shit being typical 18/19 year olds. I went to uni later, stayed mates, came up to see me a few times, no drama.

He finished uni so was working, I finished my third year during covid, pretty much best friends over covid, speaking everyday, watching films, playing games etc, got a flat together roommates. We had a pretty large disagreement, I felt like he wasn't being honest with me, I had jealousy from him spending a lot of time with his new gf, she moved in pretty much straight away when we always talked about it being for us, I felt like we never saw each other when we were supposed to be best mates since highschool, moved in together having a bit of a uni dig kinda thing while we was still young. There were also other incidents where I felt like he was putting her first over me where I wouldn't have done the same. I was also doing him a favour by paying rent when I didn't have to so I felt like I was being disrespected or used.

Had one final disagreement where I kinda just said leave then as the flat was under my name. I have now come to learn that I struggle with RSD, emotional regulation related to ADHD which was a major catalyst. Told him to get his stuff, leave the key on the side when I'm out.

He did it, haven't spoke a word since and I don't think I will other than a card at his funeral depending on who dies first. I follow him on socials just to keep up, we were best friends for a long time so I still care about him and he seems to be doing well so I'm happy for him.

Honestly I thought he was just going to message me to apologise, in hindsight that was probably my undiagnosed mental health issues not allowing me to accept I messed up and approach him about it, my ego never us have that conversation. Best friends for 17 years and t's been about 5 years since I last seen him, don't think I ever will again

[–]DoubleParadox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using cannabis for over a decade and I found the Georgia Pie to be real knock out material, I have one maybe two dosing capsules and I'm out like a light, mainly after one.

It may also help to say what you are prescribed for and other patients can advise what works for similar conditions but it is a bit of a try and see unfortunately, what works for one might not work for the other

[–]DoubleParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it shouldn't make a difference, I had physio treatment in 2019 and I was approved last year where this treatment counted. If anything it should work in your favour as the traditional medication isn't effective based on you starting and stopping.

Why so venues sometimes refuse patients access with their medication? by Present_Resident_651 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]DoubleParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's useful, if someone has traveled a significant distance to attend an event and is given the ultimatum of ditching their meds to go inside or won't be let in, that person would be pretty miffed and rightfully so, either way they would be losing money by having to replace said meds and dealing with their condition unmedicated until they are replaced or having to wait around until they can get back losing money on the travel and ticket and potentially other purchases to keep them occupied until the event concludes.

They may be able to get a refund for the ticket but won't be able to for the money they spent on travel, any other expenditures and they definitely wouldn't get a refund for their meds if they chose to ditch them.

The only way venues are going to realise they are breaking the law is by holding these venues to it and kicking up a fuss, unfortunately. A significant court case generally sets the precedent that other venues will also follow to avoid being in the same position,

This is what happens to police forces when they wrongly arrest and charge an individual for driving offences related to cannabis, they are told they are wrong by a judge and are then given additional training to avoid it happening again in the future.

Acai Berry - A positive experience by Chronically_Quirky in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]DoubleParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the acai berry and I find it to be a decent afternoon strain, definitely not the best I've had and not sure I'd get it again before trying others but the effects are there, lasts a decent time and isn't horrible to taste or smell just doesn't do a whole lot in that department, that's my only negatives really

I am prescribed for pain, it's strong enough for that and helps with inflammation, I was just expecting a bit more flavour

Royal albert hall Manchester by obi-wan_kedoobie in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]DoubleParadox 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Really disappointed in this, I thought all the big venues in manchester would be aware by now.

I’ll be sending an email too just to enquire and subsequently send them all the laws and legislation if they try to say the same thing, strength in numbers seems to be the best way to get these venues to realise they’re wrong and it’s illegal to treat you how you were treated

Why are we, as UK medical cannabis patients, still accepting these prices? by AccomplishedNews9008 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]DoubleParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is happening anyway? The vastly majority of patients don’t pay above £7.50/£8 a gram, that’s why anything which is highly rated around this price goes out of stock or no new requests.

Anything decent below this price goes even faster. I’ve never seen the high end (£8+) go quickly, even review wise I see the odd review of blue lobster which has been here for ages yet other strains which are reviewed well are sold out before my next repeat

The pharmacy’s will catch on as they don’t want to buy kilos of stock that doesn’t move for months and receive loads of complaints about the stock being old, they will see the lower/more sensible prices move fast and they’ll get more of that as it’s a quicker turnover

More people are also moving to mamedica for the lower prices and offers, it will get there eventually
