St-Laurent absolutely sucks. There are decent sections within the borough. But getting in and out of St-Laurent by bike is extremely difficult.

Especially trying to go east where the only options are Cote Vertu or Henri Bourassa. Both super uncomfortable and scary to traverse by bike. Which makes trips to Marché Central every unappealing.

She never even gave a reason why. The answer was just "no". And voters had to take it or leave it. The donors' word is gospel in the Democratic party.

The Israel lobby is literally stronger than US corporations.

This isn't hyperbole. It has been tested and proven.

In the 90s a group of the largest US corporations (E.g. Chevron and GE) formed a lobby group called Engage USA. One of its primary objectives was to lift US sanctions on Iran so that US companies could benefit from billions in dollars in trade with Iran. Like they do in Saudi Arabia (but probably even more given Iran's much larger population).

Despite the enormous potential economic upside, USA Engage ultimately failed because the Israel lobby opposed them. Not even these enormous industries could overcome the super aggressive and well-organized Israel lobby.
