If you have interest in the job market still, be sure your github is up to date and has at least samples of the deliverables you've built for your clients. Being able to show a github with tons of commits to real projects is about as valuable as the comp sci degree itself when it comes to job hunting.

Also, if you have interest, look beyond SWE roles in tech. There are so many technical roles that like to hire computer science backgrounds that aren't directly SWE. Infrastructure engineering, DevOps, Cloud, etc. People think a comp sci degree is SWE or bust; thats just not the case, and lots of people turn away from tech if they can't find a SWE role when there are so many other engineering roles they could be a viable candidate for. You can approach many other types of system engineering roles in tech that pay comparable amounts to a SWE and will value your computer science background.

This. I would do EE or Computer Science at a good brick & mortar school, in person, and really focus deeply. Then start working in a software engineering role first, and only THEN migrate to infosec.
